sharing with you...

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! After a rainy Friday the weather cleared just in time to light a warm and cozy fire at the campground ~ the rest of the weekend was just spectacular!! Unfortunately Jim was under the weather on Friday but rallied on Saturday and felt even better on Sunday to go yard saleing with me. We found an estate sale too at one of the big old beautiful homes on the ocean in Plymouth. Visit me tomorrow to see what treasures I found! Hopefully by tomorrow I will be feeling better...I think I am getting what Jim had!

Anyway today I thought I would share a few things with you. Like the birthday countdown... Ok fellow Moms of 21 year olds or soon to be 21 year olds...do you think this countdown is crazier than when they were toddlers too?! I am sure this week will fly by like last week did with Jaclyn texting me and calling me quite often to remind me what Friday is ~ but I love it!! In addition to getting ready for her birthday I am going to be participating in the launch blog party for the new magazine Creating Vintage Charm. The magazine is available for purchase today (can't wait to get my copy) but on Saturday I am going to share how I use vintage in my home. I believe they are looking for future contributors and I am keeping my fingers crossed. There are so many talented women out there and I know my chances are slim but since I am sharing, one of my dreams is to be in a magazine! So I am going to pick a few favorites from my past posts and hope for the best. Any suggestions? Just look at the beautiful cover... I am sure you all know Sandy from My Shabby Streamside Studio ~ and I am sure you all know that Nate Berkus has his own show. Well, Sandy is being featured on his show tomorrow... Her tale is truly inspiring (from being featured in magazines, the NY Times and having an amazing blog) and I am just so excited and happy for her! When I read her blog this morning as she shares her adventure with us it made me hold tighter to my dream. While I do not have a shabby streamside studio to die for ~ just a little cottage that I muse about and share with all of you, I am hoping the magazine wants to share with their readers perhaps someone just like them ~ me. Just a wife and mom who has a little cottage style home, a little blog, a little corner at an antique mall, a little shop on Etsy but has big dreams in her heart! Well, thank you to Creating Vintage Charm (don't forget to visit their blog on Saturday) and My Shabby Streamside Studio (tune in to Nate tomorrow) for the photos. Big thanks to all of you for letting me share with you today but I must go ~ the princess is up, ready to head back to school and you know it's only 4 more days!!!

I would say that your dreams aren't too far from becoming reality. You are sweet and you write beautifully. Plus, you are oh so talented.
I'll check out those sites. I can't wait to get my hands on that magazine. It looks wonderful. I'm hoping that you get published and I have a feeling that you will.

Your sweet girl is growing up and 21 is still really young. My son just turned 34!

Hold to your dreams. You never get there if you don't head that direction. Did you paint the fireplace brick in your header white? Mine is red and I was considering painting it.

If you will it, it will be! Looks like a lovely magazine. I love Nate! I wish we could get his show here. :( Will be visiting Streamside Studio now that you mentioned it as I've not been there before. How wonderful! I wish Peter Walsh would come organize my home and then Nate could decorate. Ha! Have a great week. :) Tammy
