making memories...

While in the shop the other day I put together a display in the front room...
I can only imagine where this old suitcase has been..
Or what wonderful moments in time were captured with these vintage cameras...
I hope you are having fun making memories this summer!

christmas in july...

I know I shouldn't complain, but it has been H.O.T.!
This little heat wave has made me think about Christmas in July...

A vintage, white Christmas in July...

summer treasure hunting...

I took some time off from soaking up some sun by the lake on Saturday to do some summer treasure hunting for my booth and my Etsy shop.

That means the campground was sold out and my the beach was going to be very crowded.

Want to see what I found?
I think I might have trouble parting with some of these treasures.

I have big plans for this chalkboard...

Hope I don't fall too in love with it.

I found this old wire dish rack to display some plates in my booth...
This one definitely gets a NFS tag.

These two white chippy pieces may have to just stay right here on my summer porch...

Love the color on this old oil can...
It might look cute on the shelf over my squeaky porch door!

I found this old sign and instantly fell in love...
Definitely a keeper...for now!

I also found a few old books...
I am thinking ahead to Halloween...
And Christmas...
Love the color of this old book from the 1800s...
As well as this one...

All so hard to part with.

I can hear Jim now...one thing in, two things out.
Silly rule.
Isn't summer a good time to break the rules?

Guess I should have stayed at the beach...
Those rules are easier to follow.

Thank you for visiting and enjoy your week!

favorite whites...

Good Morning!
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my hydrangeas, they are still making me smile!

While I would much rather be quietly sitting in my screen porch amidst the pines or relaxing in the sun by the lake, I do have to come home for a few days each week.  So in between loads of laundry, paying bills and cleaning up after those who stay home I wander from room to room and check in on some of my favorite things...

You know my favorite things are usually white!

monday blues...

Hello friends!
I enjoyed another wonderful long weekend at my campground!

I hated to come home today.

However, when I came up the street to my house and saw the burst of color on my Hydrangea bush I just had to smile...

So after dinner I went outside and picked a few beautiful blossoms to add the perfect touch of summer color to my nest...

These definitely make being home a bit nicer and give a whole new meaning to having the Monday blues!

I hope you all have a wonderful week!!

firecracker of a sale...

The holiday weekend is here and the birds are singing and the sun is shining!
We are having our annual Firecracker of a Sale this weekend at The Wrentham Country Store...
Lots of new treasures...
I spied these two prints and thought the children looked ready to march in an old fashioned Fourth of July parade...

So if you are in the neighborhood come take a stroll through the shop...
I hope you have a safe and Happy Fourth of July...
I am joining Debra today over at Common Ground for her Vintage Patriotic Party!
Did you see her porch all decked out in red, white and blue?
It looks wonderful!

Thank you for stopping by!!
