on the menu...

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful day with family and friends yesterday!
On the menu today ~ leftovers!
There is nothing like a gobbler sandwich the day after Thanksgiving!

Also on the menu today is finishing up a makeover on a piece I picked up on my NH treasure hunting trip with the girls.
Before...

After...

I am bringing this in the shop tomorrow.  Today is day one of the Wrentham Country Store's Vintage Holiday Open House, and Jake and I popped in quick today to pick up a piece of furniture I bought.  The Shop Girls did an amazing job, the whole shop looked magical!  I will take you on a little tour next week!

You may remember last year I shared with you that my best friend Lisa's house burnt down on Christmas Eve.  Well, the good news is that construction is finally under way after a long year of waiting.
Unbelievably, last night I got a call from our good friend Karen that her house was on fire!  Everyone is safe and the damage is not as bad, thank God.  We are going to see her later and help any way we can.  I know she would appreciate good thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much and I am glad you came by to visit!

advent calendar...

First, I want to thank you all for letting me know that I am not the only one who starts another project mid-stream of umpteen other ones!
Second, I know I promised to show you last week my new project that I started and finished all in one day, but I sort of got busy.
No, I didn't start another project.
I was off having tons of treasure hunting fun with Mary Ellen and Karen from the shop.
Thanks girls...can't wait to do it again!

My new project was to make another advent calendar for our Vintage Holiday Open House.
It all started with a tiny tree...

A touch of whimsy...

A few vintage trinkets...

A little tinsel and stamped ribbon...

And I ended up with this...

I really enjoy making these!
You can see other calendars I have made over the years here and here.

I will be joining
Blissful Whites Wednesday
and

Thank you for stopping by ~ have a great week!

vintage nightstand...

Do you ever have so many projects going on at once that some mornings you do not know which one to work on so you don't do anything at all?
Or, even worse, start a whole new project?
That is just what I did today.
Please tell me at least one of you are guilty of this too!!

One of the projects I have been working on is my Master Bedroom makeover.
Here is a look at it before...

The walls before were blue and now they are grey.
Although my family says there is no difference at all now.
The bureau on the left has already been painted and has been moved to the other side of the room.
While treasure hunting this past weekend, I found a unique piece to replace it.
It is two vintage nightstands that were attached to make one beautiful piece...

This is perfect storage for all my jewelry and accessories...

You can see a little peek at my new curtains and my new bed side lamps in the mirror (which used to hang over my bed).

This is the duvet I want from Pottery Barn (just waiting for a new catalog and hopefully a 15% off coupon)...

I still have a long way to go in this room but thought I would share a little sneak peek with you.

Later this week I will share with you the new project I started, and actually finished today!

Sharing with Timewashed for Blissful Whites Wednesday.
Thank you for visiting!!
