inspiration wanted...

They are predicting more snow this weekend.
Really?
I am so ready for Spring!
With Winter not wanting to leave yet, I thought I would start to sprinkle a little Spring around the house.
While putting away all my Valentine decorations, I also removed the mercury glass and glittered pine cones from my mantel.
I changed out the mirror too, switching this one...

For this one from our entry way...

I like the way it looks...

To the left of the mantel I had pictures of my kids which I moved and now I am not sure what to fill it in with (trying to use what I already have).

Choice A...

I love this old frame that I "borrowed" from my bedroom...

and choice B...

My NH road trip find.
I "borrowed" this chalkboard from the other side of the room...

Which one would you choose, A or B?
Maybe you have a choice C...I would love to hear your suggestions!

Here is the little bit of Spring that I sprinkled yesterday...

This is my favorite egg that I decoupaged...

As I have been looking at this wall while trying to decide between the frame and the chalkboard, I feel that the wall is too white.
Did I just say that?
It feels boring...maybe because I am tired of looking at the same stuff.
Maybe I need more texture.
I am definitely feeling the need for some color ~ just a touch.

So I would love it if you would share with me your choice of A the frame, or B the chalkboard as well as your suggestions on how to add a touch of color to this room.

flour sack towels...

I am in the midst of lots of projects around here and I love it!
I am working on two room makeovers in my house, pieces for my booth at the shop as well as pieces for our white show.

Today I have a few finished projects to share with you that I am bringing in the shop later today.
Before more snow comes.
Jim and I will be completing phase two of my booth makeover too (as for phase one, we painted one wall last week and it looks wonderful)!
I picked up some flour sack towels last week and with help of The Graphics Fairy embellished a few to tuck in my booth...

It was my first time using iron on transfer paper and it was fun.
I plan on making more for the white show.

A few weeks ago I picked up an ugly unwanted trunk at a thrift shop.
I wish I took a before photo, it was dark wood with some fruit painted on it.  Here is what it looks like now...

I used the modge podge method on this one.  As you can see I rubbed a bit too hard in a few places, but I like it...perfectly imperfect!
I am saving this for the show.  I am hoping to have a corner full of old trunks and suitcases.

A few weeks ago Mary Ellen and I went treasure hunting and I found a small, old bureau.
Again, I forgot to take a before photo.
I gave it a quick coat of paint and now it is ready to go in my booth...

Simple and Sweet!

This past Sunday was my three year blog anniversary!
It has been a great adventure so far and I feel like I have just begun!
Thank you for visiting!!

shelf in my den...

Taking a little break from painting old treasures for the white show to share with you the farmhouse shelf in my den and how I styled it after the holidays.

I kept it simple...

Jim and I are going to the shop later to freshen up the walls in my space with a new coat of paint...in my favorite white for walls...Swiss Coffee.
He is always so helpful and supportive of my business!

I hope to have a different look in my space for our At Home With White Show.
Painting the walls is just the first step!
Sorry Jim.

I think I will go check in with the girls over at

and

to see what everyone else is sharing today.

Thanks for stopping by!
