celebrating...

Thank you all for stopping in and leaving such great comments on my hurricane (studio) clean up...hee hee!
Having a clean place to work in is worth celebrating ~ I did so by starting to get ready for the fall show we are having at the shop.

Here is a sneak peek at what I've been up to...

All these pieces that I am working on are french inspired.
I am happy with everything so far, are you...

I am also working on some pieces for a few farmhouse vignettes...

I am off to a good start but I have a long way to go!
I have done enough for today.
I am going to relax tonight with the latest copy of Flea Market Style...

Guess what...The Wrentham Country Store made the issue!!!

I am sending out a big Thank You to all our customers who submitted the shop to Flea Market Style!
I would also like to say a big Congratulations to Mary Ellen, the owner of the WCS...I know you are doing the happy dance tonight (even if it is in the dark)!  Also big Congrats go to my fellow shop girls for always keeping the store a fun and interesting place for customers to shop at!

I know we will be doing a little celebrating at the shop...once the lights go back on!!

I am sharing today at Faded Charm for White Wednesday
as well as French Inspiration Thursday at The French Cupboard.
Thank you for stopping by!

hurricane sandi...

While hurricane Irene (thankfully downgraded to a tropical storm) blows around outside, clean up from hurricane Sandi began inside today.

My studio was just a mess (I am not brave enough to show you any photos).  I tend to make piles and piles of "stuff" in my studio during the summer.  "Stuff" I found while treasure hunting that I want to keep for myself or stuff headed for my booth that needs a little tweaking.  So, since I wasn't going anywhere today I started sorting through everything, concentrating on the treasures that would stay in my studio.

Remember these girls...
I love them and found a place for them to nest...

I think these beauties might just be a new obsession of mine...

I recently "met" Vanna from the fabulous blog Delusions of Grandeur and she did a post on her wonderful collection of boudoir dolls including some of these Munzerlite treasures.  When she saw I was looking for names for my girls she suggested I name one of them Vanna and she would name one of hers Sandi!  She thought Vanna would go nice with Vivienne...

Can you see that I draped some pretty ribbon over her to let her know I still love her too...
Oh and I also found this pretty little doll too ~ not sure if I am keeping her...
She is missing one arm and one leg and the ones she does have are detached.  She is still wonderful though!

I also kept these two books for their color and put together a little vignette...

I changed up the shelf over my desk by painting one frame white and changing out the other for a white one (they were both pink) and added the vintage inspired french tray I found at HomeGoods...

Let me move a few things so you can get a closer look...
Isn't it cute!

My studio really needs a deep cleaning and I would like to change it up a bit.  I would like to move everything out and start new but the room right outside my studio is full of pieces I am working on for our fall show at the shop.
I tend to jump from one project to another!
The room is at least neat and organized and I am ready to get back in the swing of things!

As I cleaned up after hurricane Sandi I tried to make a pretty pile of other treasures from summer hunting, Etsy purchases and giveaway wins that I would like to use in my studio makeover...
Did you notice that I went from changing things up a bit in this space to a makeover?!!
Uh oh!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week!

still browsing...

I'm so glad you all had fun browsing the shop with me on Wednesday and as promised I am ready to share some more.
Are you ready?
Let's start in Mary Ellen's booth...

Loved the color combo on this old find in Maureen's space...

Karen K. has this wonderful vintage frame and photo...
As well as this old wagon wheel...

Look how pretty this table top is in Jeannie's booth...

Jeannie makes the prettiest lamps out of old silver pieces...

Karen P. from A Shabby Moment in Time made this pretty chalkboard for her garden space...

And I put together this new vignette in my space...

I love when a customer comes in for the first time and oohs and ahhs over everyone's displays.  They say they could spend hours browsing through the shop!
Me too!

Thank you all for visiting today!
I am joining Debra for Vintage Inspiration Friday.
I know you will have lots of fun browsing over there!
Have a great weekend!!

browsing through the WCS...

Well, I finally remembered to bring my camera to the shop yesterday.
I found some wonderful whites to share with you and everyone visiting Kathleen for White Wednesday.

So, pull up a chair...

Slip into something more comfortable...

...and let me take you browsing through
The Wrentham Country Store.
Oh, and don't forget a snack...

I spied lots of old, wonderful wood painted white...

I also found a few things to hang like this pretty chandelier...

As well as this cute birdcage filled with old ledger pages...

There are also some pretties to warm your heart...

And your soul...

Sigh...
Come back for another visit on Friday ~ I have a lot more to share with you!

Thanks for stopping in today!
