old mill shoe rack...

I had a wonderful weekend and I hope you did too!
I have a new find to share with you...

A beautiful vintage double arm student desk lamp (why they call it that I do not know...it does not sound pretty enough!).
It is marked "Made in Italy" and is in wonderful condition.
I know it has been in the same family for at least 75 years (maybe even 100).
I brought it into the shop and did a bit of fluffing in my booth this morning...

I think it looks great on the pink shabby dresser...

My booth is pretty full right now...

And with "saleing" season upon us I hope to keep it this way all summer long...

I put one of my old mill shoe racks in my space today too.
I really wanted to bring it home.
I would love to keep it but I just do not have the right spot for it in my home, as much as I tried to make it work...

Especially when I saw the latest Country Living and saw how great one of these looked in the Knott's beautiful home.
I wandered around my nest again to find the perfect spot...

Unfortunately the rooms in my home are just too small.
(Yes, I am pouting.)

If you have not seen this issue yet make sure you check out the Knott's feature online, their home is fabulous and full of inspiration...

Oh, and my magazine is sitting on my latest project which I am going to share with you on Friday!

Thank you all for coming by today ~ have a great week!!

rainy day puttering...

I spent a few rainy days this week puttering in my studio and did some purging and cleaning.
Here are a few before photos...

It was time to take my makeshift slipcover (a matalesse coverlet) off of my chair to wash and freshen up for spring.

I decided that I wanted to "retire" my french inspired clock and cubby drawer that displayed my flower frog collection and some interesting drawer pulls that await projects...

When I took the slipcover off the chair, I decided to keep it off for a while, even though it is so dark.
What do you think...

I brightened it up a bit with my beautiful white ruffled scarf from Full Bloom Cottage...

I replaced the clock and cubby drawer with a mirror from my bedroom (since I replaced it with the one I traded for at the white show, I'll share that next week).  I scattered my frog collection around and of course I kept my french girls...

Next to my chair I hung my white rose print that use to be in my den...

I also put my prairie skirt over my little bookshelf to hide a few messy shelves.  (I bought the skirt to wear at the white show but my derriere did not need the added layers!)

I neatened up the top two shelves and added the old bell.
So glad it did not sell at the show ~ I love it...

I like the new look...

Do you?

I am joining Debra over at Common Ground for
Vintage Inspiration Friday.

I have been working on a new project for my living room that I will share with you all next week!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

bravo...

For White Wednesday this week, I am going to share some of the beautiful displays from our At Home With White Show that were inside the Wrentham Country Store...

If you missed any of my other posts on the show you can read them here, here and here.

When the tent came down there were still some treasures left and my fellow shop girls have done an amazing job making new displays in their booths.
Take a peek at the Recent Finds page on the website to see what's in store now!

And to all these talented and inspiring Shop Girls I work with, I want to tell you that you all did a fabulous job hunting, creating and working at this fun event!
Bravo!!

Well, I think I am finally recovered from the show.
We had some heavy rain on Sunday and Monday and I spent some lazy time cleaning and fluffing my studio.
I'll share some new vignettes later this week!

Thanks for visiting ~ I am off to Faded Charm to enjoy some white inspiration!!

tent round up...

It is a rainy Sunday here and I thought I would sit and relax and share the rest of my fellow Shop Girl's displays inside the tent from our At Home With White Show.

Here we have Mary wearing a beautiful smile standing in front of her space...

Her displays were french inspired with lots of sparkle sprinkled here and there...

Thanks Maureen for sharing these photos with me!

This was Deb's first show with us as well and she also did a wonderful job creating her space...

I thought her corner of the tent had an English cottage feel to it...

Karen K. has two booths inside the shop, one called Vintage Romance and one called The Eclectic Palette.  I think she blended both styles beautifully inside the tent, all in vintage shades of white...

As we peek inside Maureen's space you can see she had a wonderful collection of mirrors...

Lucky me traded one of my treasures for the mirror in the middle!!

We wanted to have a little extra fun at the show and we all decided to dress in a romantic prairie style.
Maureen looked fabulous...

It was a beautiful weekend and really warmed up fast each day.  Our porch full of treasures for your porch or garden was a nice place to sit and rest a bit...

Well, I hope you all enjoyed my tent round up!
Believe it or not, I still have more to share!
In my next post I will take you on a tour inside the shop.
I wish you all a wonderful week!

tent 2012 #2

This wonderful old doll found the perfect home (and with a sweet extra outfit too)!

Inside the shop Mary Ellen's displays delivered as well, from her gardening space...

To her french inspired treasures...

Treasures that were all highlighted by a wonderful vintage prom dress...

Love this message for the treasure hunter in all of us who long to shop the brocantes in Paris someday...

Thank you again Mary Ellen for giving me the chance to be part of this wonderful shop!

I had a few minutes during the hustle and bustle of Saturday morning to catch up with Chris from Tutti Chic...

Go take a peek at her beautiful blog to see all the fabulous finds she brought home from the show!
(How did I miss those sconces!)

We had three fun filled days in the sun with the tent over flowing with white treasures.  Now that the tent is down the remaining treasures have found their way into my fellow Shop Girls' booths.  Take a peek at our website to see their displays!

I know it's been another long post but I just wanted to wish Jim a Happy Birthday today!
Thank you so much for letting me follow my dreams...I love you!

Thank you all for visiting!
I have lots more of the show to share, so have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you next week!
