vintage trailers...

It's Friday!
It's also opening day at our campground!
I am so excited!

Our first trailer was a 23' 1978 Nomad.
Now the trailer was old and it needed a lot of work.
Unfortunately I do not have any photos of the inside.
Jim worked very hard for about a month or so replacing the floor and some of the walls.
We replaced the rug and I picked a coordinating color to paint all the walls ~ if I remember it was a pale shade of blue-gray.
My Mom bought me some sweet gingham curtains for the windows.
I do have a photo of the outside...
Sorry for the bad photo.  My scanner won't work so I just took a picture of the picture!

We have had a few trailers since that old beauty.
We now have an 38' 2006 Sandpiper.
I do love my trailer but would love to have an old one again so I could pretty it up like Amy did...

Simply adorable!

Now take a peek into Kerrie's...

Now I know for sure that the mister will not go for my idea of getting an old beauty to fix up and maybe use it to hit the road someday and go junkin...not yet anyway.
So for the time being I have a few ideas in mind for my home sweet trailer after seeing what Tot did to hers.  Her trailer's interior is similar to mine ~ it is generic and dark.
Here is her before...
And after, so light and pretty...
How cozy and comfortable does that look?!!!

Here is what I have to work with...
Stay tuned...

Well I would like to thank Amy, Kerrie and Tot for letting me share their photos with you today.
Also, thank you Debra for hosting Vintage Inspiration Friday over at Common Ground.

I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
See you later girlfriends!

Hmmm...do you think William and Kate ever considered a camping honeymoon?

spring cleaning my studio...

My little studio was a total disaster area.
I put off cleaning it after all my holiday projects.
Then I sort of lost February and most of March with my little setback.
Then the white event had the room looking even worse.
So one afternoon last week had me in that room cleaning, purging and reorganizing.  I sent a lot of new treasures into my booth.
I then did a little fluffing with some new trinkets I picked up at Michaels like this white Eiffel Tower...
I tucked in the loveliest card from the thoughtful gift my friend Sandi sent me and the little thank you notes from Carole that she beautifully attaches to the latest Jeanne d'Arc Living that I purchase from her...

I also picked up these Paris themed storage boxes...

All put together on the little ledge over my desk to add a bit of french inspiration...
Then I hung the sign I made for my space at the white event...
I hung it off an old door knob and escutcheon that my husband put together for me...
A week later my studio is still nice and neat.  I just am looking for the right spot to hang my newest treasures I brought home from the shop...

I have been admiring this old tattered beauty for a long time.
Now she is mine!!

Wandering off to White Wednesday now to see what is new this week!
Thank you for stopping by today and thank you for all your nice comments yesterday!
They truly made me smile!!

she picked mine...

Now I am sure you all knew that the fabulous Fifi O'Neill was having a giveaway on her blog.  She was giving away 3 signed copies of her amazing book Romantic Prairie Style.  It wasn't just a regular giveaway where you enter and your name is randomly picked.  You had to send her a photo of how you displayed her book in your home.  I never thought I had a chance with all the talented ladies out there that take wonderful photos.  But guess what ~ she picked mine...
Can you believe it?!!  I am so excited!

Here are some other photos I took...

Fifi has hit the road and as she puts it "gone shooting" for her next book.  Another book full of beauty and inspiration from Fifi...sigh!!!
The crock was my Moms...one of my favorite treasures from her!

Congratulations to Tracie from My Petite Maison and Erin of The Painted Garden for being picked as well!

What a great week this is turning out to be!!
Thank you for visiting today!

shop vignettes...

To kick off a new week I thought I would show you a few things that caught my eye at the shop over the weekend like this vintage screen showing some state flowers...

And this sweet old print...
Some wonderful vintage chenille bed spreads...
The colors are perfectly shabby!!

And a vintage class photo...
I saved the best for last.  Take a look at Mary Ellen's new display...
Who knew old chicken crates could look so great!

Her shabby space now has a romantic farmhouse look...

She has given some of her other spaces a new look as well.  The whole shop really looks amazing.  The white event really energized all the shop girls and the finds they have been bringing in ever since are great!  With Brimfield right around the corner I can only imagine what they will find!!

We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day yesterday to celebrate Easter with my family!  I hope you all enjoyed the holiday as well!

Wishing there was not so much candy left!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!

benjamin bunny...

I picked up a new bunny figure at the shop the other day.
I think I will call him Benjamin Bunny...
I just loved all the tales from Beatrix Potter...
I remember having videos of these tales when my kids were little...
The video would also come with a book and an audio tape so your child could read along with the story...
I would read the stories to them as well but they loved to hear them read in the British accents on the tapes...
The best part was when my kids would "read" the story back to me in their little British accents...
More of Mr. McGregor's friends can be found at the shop too...

Wishing you all a beautiful holiday weekend ~ I hope you have fun with family and friends!
Now before you all go and start eating too many chocolate eggs or peeps go visit Debra over at Common Ground for her Easter inspired Vintage Inspiration Friday!
Thank you for stopping by!

P.S. ~ I would also like to thank Debra today for featuring my post from last week...how exciting!
Thank you Debra!!
