vintage themed wedding...

This Friday is our 27th anniversary!
(We've been together for 33 years!)
So, I thought this week I would share some wedding themed posts with you.

My daughter Jaclyn's good friend Dawn-Marie had a vintage theme at her recent wedding and has kindly agreed to let me share some photos of her beautiful table settings that she put together.
Some of the items were found at the shop!
I think she did a wonderful job...

Don't you just love the flowers she chose?
I think it was a great choice to go with her vintage inspired centerpieces...

Look how cute the table numbers are...

Did you notice the little gumball machines for guest's favors?
How fun!

Look how cute this next one is with the Vogue covers and old hair dryer...

Pretty cake...

Beautiful couple...

Thank you Dawn-Marie for sharing your photos!
Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Over the past year I have met more mothers and daughters in the shop looking for items for vintage themed showers and weddings and it is so much fun to help them out!

Thank you for visiting today ~ I hope you have a great week!

vintage brooch bouquet...

Were you a June bride?
I was...almost 26 years ago!
Jim if you are reading this you have 19 shopping days left!

While browsing Etsy last night I searched vintage wedding and look what I found...

Stunning isn't it!
These beautiful creations are from the Etsy shop The Ritzy Rose.
The bouquets are made from vintage brooches and other pieces of jewelry that either you send them or that they have.
Miranda Lambert recently got married and had one made from brooches given to her at her shower from her guests...

Now I am not renewing my vows (although I would love to so I could hold one of these beauties) and my daughter is not getting married anytime soon but I have had a wedding idea folder for her for years.
This idea is going on the top of the pile!

I am joining Debra for Vintage Inspiration Friday.
Thanks for hosting Debra!

Thank you all for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

booth and etsy treasures...

If you have been following along this week you know the new year has brought me new energy to clean up my studio as well as my  nest.  "Simplify" will be an important word to me this year.  Keeping that in mind along with my new shabby direction has had me purging and gathering treasures for the shop and my Etsy shop.  Here are a few things that have made it to my booth...
I had this beautiful wash bowl in my downstairs (yellow) bath.  I always felt it was a bit too big for the little chest I had it on.  I'll be sharing with you soon what has taken it's place.  Not really having any where else for it to nest I put it in my booth.  It really is lovely...
While I do love it and after having enjoyed it for a while, it does not bother me that it is gone.  Seeing it here in my booth is not making me regret taking it away.  That is a good thing, right?!  A few other treasures that I sent to my booth are the sweet little cherub mirror that I showed you along with The Cheerful Cherub book (look for the book in my Etsy shop soon) as well as the lovely rose bowl which used to be in my Paris Hotel Suite...

I did hesitate a bit on keeping this one...
Hope I do not have seller's regret!  I have been trying to put a few new things in my Etsy shop each day this week...
The pink ribbon sold right away!  This past June Jim and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary.  I collected a few things to make a little vignette to celebrate the occasion.  At the end of the summer I moved it to my studio and now, with a few keepsake photos of the vignette I have decided to put these treasures in my Etsy shop.  Look how pretty this old wedding booklet is...

The cover is amazing and it is full of poems with beautiful illustrations.  And this old bottle of wedding rice...

Sold already too!  I think everyone loves old cabinet cards.  To find a lovely wedding portrait one is like icing on a (wedding) cake (hee hee)...

Are you ready for your morning chuckle...
Do ya think the groom was a bit nervous?!!!  I am thinking the father of the bride was in the corner giving him the old evil eye!  Speaking of weddings...I am sure you all have been following along with Rene over at Miss Gracie's House as she has been sharing her beautiful daughter's wedding photos.  I just love Miss G's idea of having a wedding that was fun and different with lots of vintage details.  Vintage romance...nobody does that better than Rene.  I have been keeping a binder with photos and ideas for when my Miss gets married some day.  Miss G's wedding just went to the top of the list!  After you are done gushing over the beautiful bride go visit Debra (another beauty) over at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday!  Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!
