booth and etsy treasures...

If you have been following along this week you know the new year has brought me new energy to clean up my studio as well as my  nest.  "Simplify" will be an important word to me this year.  Keeping that in mind along with my new shabby direction has had me purging and gathering treasures for the shop and my Etsy shop.  Here are a few things that have made it to my booth...
I had this beautiful wash bowl in my downstairs (yellow) bath.  I always felt it was a bit too big for the little chest I had it on.  I'll be sharing with you soon what has taken it's place.  Not really having any where else for it to nest I put it in my booth.  It really is lovely...
While I do love it and after having enjoyed it for a while, it does not bother me that it is gone.  Seeing it here in my booth is not making me regret taking it away.  That is a good thing, right?!  A few other treasures that I sent to my booth are the sweet little cherub mirror that I showed you along with The Cheerful Cherub book (look for the book in my Etsy shop soon) as well as the lovely rose bowl which used to be in my Paris Hotel Suite...

I did hesitate a bit on keeping this one...
Hope I do not have seller's regret!  I have been trying to put a few new things in my Etsy shop each day this week...
The pink ribbon sold right away!  This past June Jim and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary.  I collected a few things to make a little vignette to celebrate the occasion.  At the end of the summer I moved it to my studio and now, with a few keepsake photos of the vignette I have decided to put these treasures in my Etsy shop.  Look how pretty this old wedding booklet is...

The cover is amazing and it is full of poems with beautiful illustrations.  And this old bottle of wedding rice...

Sold already too!  I think everyone loves old cabinet cards.  To find a lovely wedding portrait one is like icing on a (wedding) cake (hee hee)...

Are you ready for your morning chuckle...
Do ya think the groom was a bit nervous?!!!  I am thinking the father of the bride was in the corner giving him the old evil eye!  Speaking of weddings...I am sure you all have been following along with Rene over at Miss Gracie's House as she has been sharing her beautiful daughter's wedding photos.  I just love Miss G's idea of having a wedding that was fun and different with lots of vintage details.  Vintage romance...nobody does that better than Rene.  I have been keeping a binder with photos and ideas for when my Miss gets married some day.  Miss G's wedding just went to the top of the list!  After you are done gushing over the beautiful bride go visit Debra (another beauty) over at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday!  Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!

What pretties you have put in your booth and at Etsy. You know that first big wash bowl...COULD be fitted with a plunger piece and made into a sink...would that be awesome, or what? However, it would forever change the value of the piece as it sits. Lovely, lovely pieces- xxoo Diana

I think the word for 2011 is simplify. It seems to be on the minds of most of us. I have the same thought. Some things just have to go.

I'm so behind on your posts but it's only 7:23 and laundry is done, nest is clean and I have the whole day to catch up!

Your booth looks lovely, that little cherub mirror really caught my eye...I love it! And I will be on the lookout for the Cheerful Cherub book in your Etsy shop. Gorgeous sink, I don't know how you part with all these lovelies!

Have a wonderful weekend my friend.

I love all the treasures you have, I would have a hard time giving up things if I owned a booth!!!
LOVE the wedding picture and the ruffle on the wedding dress. And yes the groom looks as though he is saying to himself, "WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!"
Thank you for sharing!

That groom looks like he is about to bolt out of his chair and run away! Too funny! Love all of the treasures in your booth, especially the cherub frame, and those neat white suitcases! I can so relate to wanting to lighten up and simplify!

Hi Sandi, I'm lovin' your white suitcases, I think I need to paint some more! The bowl is fabulous, but I'm the same way. I have to live with it for awhile sometimes, then I'm ready to let it go.
Thanks for coming to the party,
hugs,
Debra

You are a working machine girl. I am now being inspired by you. I love all that you are doing and am so happy your booth is doing well. I need to try my hand at etsy- we'll see if I can handle that.

thanks for entering my giveaway. It is so much fun to chat with blog friends. Wish we lived closer- but then we'd be dangerous wouldn't we?
keep the inspiration coming..

You have some great vintage items. Cute wedding book and the rice is really cute. You can't even use that any more at most places. Now, you have to use bird seed so the birds will clean it up. I think some folks have gotten lazy.

I do believe your purging is going to make some shoppers very, very happy Sandi. So many awesome things!

About Rene and Miss Gracie. Wasn't that wedding amazing??? I happen to know Rene personally and adore her and her darling girl. Rene holds the best sale at her place here in Idaho. So many of the things that I show in my home have been found and redone by Rene. Wow, what a great finder she is! She also is the dearest person you will ever meet!
Thank you so much for the well wishes...you always make me smile!
big hugs to you...
