savoring summer...

Hi, hello, how are you?!

I'm still here ~ I've just been savoring summer!

I have also been being very thrifty as I finish my den and living room makeover.

I picked my own house and found this old table that was my Mom's to put in my den.  I like the contrast of the dark wood against the light grey walls and next to my new light chairs...

Sorry for the bad photo...no natural light today, just lots of rain!

I hope you enjoyed another sneak peek and I hope you are savoring summer too!!

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi Sandi,
I love the look of wood set against gray, the brown tones add warmth and contrast to the coolness of grey. Perfect balance is what I am seeing. Enjoy the last of summer 2014, didn't it just fly by?

Sandi, So good to see you are still having summer fun. We better enjoy every day of it we can. It just seems that Fall is coming fast this year. Maybe it's because all the schools around here have started. Blessings to you and your sweet family, xoxo,Susie

Sandi,
"Picked" your own house. . .
sounds intriquing, dear friend!!!
Here on our side of the Prairie, I've been doing a bit of the same. "Mr. Ed" has been moving pieces from the lower level to the upper level to fill in some voids as I prepare to host my Circle Ladies this coming week!!!
I l o v e the dark hues in the table!!!
Lovin' the gray hues in your living room. . .and I'll be watching for more "peeking"into your living room make~over!
Enjoy your last few weeks of Summer, dear one!
Fondly,
Pat

I'm trying to hang on to the last weeks of summer. It's been so delightful this year, I'm not quite ready for fall.

Lovin' the sneak peak, Sandi. I'm hoping summer will hang around for a while. Last winter was l-o-n-g and we're no way near ready for fall!
Have a great day!

Love the darker against the grey, a perfect look to summers endings. Yet also a different look for you as well, looking forward to seeing more of your beauty you create over here :)

As for summer, sorry to be a party pooper, but I am sooo looking forward to cooler days and what winter brings.
I seem to get more done, more creative, and so more passionate about what I am creating with the blowing of winter winds.

See you soon my creative friend.

Summer seems to fly by faster and faster each year, doesn't it, Sandi? Can't believe it's almost September! I'm so glad that your season has been fun and full of creativity, though. :) Love your new table next to your chairs!

I am definitely savoring summer and refuse to decorate for fall. Last year we never even got a fall. So, I am actually working on a few beachy/summery projects!
