thrifter, thrilled and thankful...

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! We were lucky to have a long weekend since Massachusetts celebrates Patriot's Day. Jim and I had to take our daughter back to college since her car died (ugh). She goes to UMass Dartmouth so he offered to take me to New Bedford (next town over) to a few of my favorite shops ~ on his birthday! He is a keeper!! Today is Nifty Thrifty Tuesday hosted by Linda over at Coastal Charm. Here is my first thrifty find this weekend, I found this down the street ~ curbside... The drawers just need a little tightening. It will be a great piece to have on hand when a big piece sells in my little corner. It would also look great with a dreamy coat of white! Now look at this beautiful dish ($1.00)... Remember when I introduced you to Vivienne? Putting this pretty next to her makes it look like a luxurious bath tub just her size! Doesn't she look like she could use a bubble bath... Here are some other little treasures I found. A gorgeous cover of a vintage candy box... A pretty pedestal dish... Sweet Nippon covered jar... Purple was catching my eye... And two sweet little sheep bells... I found some other wonderful treasures that I am saving for White Wednesday. While I left the house yesterday thankful to be going thrifting it wasn't the only thing I was thankful for. I am thrilled to say that my little blog has reached over 100 followers in the blissful two months since I started this adventure!! Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart! As a small token of my gratitude I am having a little giveaway to include this sweet little rose adorned heart tin filled with {a petite surprise}... As well as a decoupaged letter... Of course it will be the letter of your first name or whatever letter you would like. I am going to keep this simple ~ just leave a comment on this post to be entered. If you are a follower you already have 1 entry ~ leaving a comment on this post will give you 1 entry. Giveaway will end midnight on Thursday 4/22 and I will announce the winner Friday 4/23. I guess I will have to figure out those random number things! Thrifter, thrilled and thankful...that's me!

What wonderful treasures you found this weekend.I have just started redecorating my house from totally primitive to now totally cottage.I am 58 years old and am just kinda new at blogging I joined A Primitive Place web sight in January then about the end of February I found Daisy's Cottage I was hooked.I am now jumping around on this computer trying to find more cottage loving people and I found you.Hooray for me.I will now be a daily follower of yours.I have started redoing the kitchen first .Made my valances in a red flower print with a light green with white polka dots ruffle I suprised myself on how well they turned out.So I added a little cream colored cupboard I found on the curb side I love those kind of finds.and painted my corner cupboard light green I am now looking for pretty dishes and I am on a search for light green coffee mugs with white polka dots hope I can find them some day. I know I'll get lots of great ideas from your post thanks so much.

Hello! Looks like I might have to go back to Wrentham soon! Your spot looks great and it did when I was there a few weeks ago for the sale. Were you the one who had a great chandelier that I can't get out of my mind? Let me know if you still have it!!
