old tattered lampshade...

While I was spring cleaning my studio a few weeks ago I created this little vignette on top of the tall shelf that sits next to my work table...

I also used some of my flower frogs to display some business cards from some recent purchases I made...
Lovely ladies who inspire me daily.

Since then I changed out the sheet music...
I also hung up the old tattered lamp shade I got...
I think I like it...
But know it is not quite right yet.  Let me know what you think!

I'll be hanging out in here today getting "stuff" together to bring in the shop this afternoon when Jim gets home from work.  I sold quite a bit during the weekend sale including a few big pieces and need to fill in the spaces.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend and hope you did too.
Thanks Jaclyn and Jake...love you both!!
Have a great week!
Brimfield on Wednesday!!

Great lampshade! I picked up two vintage shades and stripped them of their old coverings. Now I have to find some time to recover them. I love the shapes of the old ones best don't you?

So pretty! Maybe hang some crystals off the lampshade to bounce around some of the light from the window? And some dried roses on it, too?

Love the look...and that lampshade is so cool! I am on my way to the cape on Thurs and wanted to be able to meet with you. however, LIFE just gets in the way sometimes. My niece is moving into her first apt in Brockton this weeknd and I am bringing her tons of stuff (this was a great way to "clean house") and I will be spending the afternoon and evening with her before I head to the Cape. So, there just isn't enough time to visit with you...Hopefully next time I am traveling thru!

I love the old lampshade. I would probably add a little rose or something with lace and ribbon for a little extra frou frou.

Don't you just love flower frogs? I look for them wherever I go. Love the vignette and lampshade! You could add a couple burlap rosettes to the shade for a little something but I think it looks nice as is.
Hope you had a nice Mother's Day!

Hi Sandi, I think your little corner looks lovely. The lampshade is just the perfect touch without being overwhelming. Love the color of those glass bottles. Have a great rest of the week. :) Tammy
