my summer porch...

It was a beautiful weekend here and I hope you enjoyed one too! We were at the campground this weekend and I took some pictures of my summer porch for Metamorphosis Monday (thank you for hosting Susan!) to show you all where I spend alot of time relaxing, reading, and entertaining friends. Remember when I first told you about our summer plans and showed you where our screen room would go...Here is my summer porch... I love how different it is to my home where I have my collections all about. However the shabby cottage look that is me is still here in a simpler form. I am wondering though if I will fit a little french flair in here or there! I am happy sitting here in the morning with coffee... Or when Jim gets home from work for an evening cocktail... There is plenty of room to bring in more chairs if we have company... Pretty white party lights... Of course it would have been nice of me to take the towel rack away from behind the love seat before I took these photos! Here is where the vintage yellow lantern nests now... My Mom gave me this little table when we bought our first very small trailer 13 years ago... We did a bit of work outside on Saturday. Jim spread a new layer of pea stone which helps keep dirt out of the screen room and trailer... I filled a few of my pots with flowers... Jim surprised me a few years ago and put the street light in. It was great for added light at night when the kids were little. Now it is great to have the added light when I go back to my trailer to refill my champagne glass (ha). I have been putting a few nautical touches around for my husband the fisherman like the buoy above and this paddle I put on the shed... I love having the patriotic theme for the summer time... However I can not resist these beautiful colors...
On Sunday while Jim was out fishing I planned to take some photos of the lake and lodge to share too but I ended up finding a nice sunny spot to start a new book. I also spent alot of time visiting some wonderful new blogs at the Pink Saturday party. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and left such sweet comments and are now following my little musings. I also am thankful to all my faithful followers, my new friends who make me smile every day. Well let me know what you think of my summer porch and I hope you enjoyed relaxing for a bit at our site!

Hi Sandi! I was not following you before....I wonder how that happened? At any rate, it is fixed now!! Sorry about that!! I thought I was already following your blog!

Love the summer porch!

Also, where did you get your new white couch? Is it slipcovered? I am on the market for a white slipcovered easy chair. We ordered one in the color "pearl" and it was delivered on Friday. Opened it up, and it was more of a sand or cardboard color!!! Yikes...had to send it back! Looking for something affordable!

Take care,

Polly

Sandi, your summer porch is so peaceful. I just love camping. We used to go often then racing took over again once The Son got older and I just miss it. I love to visit family and friends that still go camping...I'm just the biggest to get rid of once I get there!!!!
So get ready...if you see a white Suburban pull up...get your bug spray out...it'll be hard to get rid of me! haha

Hi, Sandi.

I am here via One Cheap B*tch, and I love your camping setup, especially the screened porch.

I hope that in 6 more years when my hubby and I go full-time in a fifth wheel that we can make a screened room that gorgeous!!!

Cheers,
Laura
