can't keep everything...

I found this at a local thrift a few weeks ago...

I took the hooks out and filled the holes.
After a few coats of paint and adding a few special touches this is what I came up with...

I also picked up this pretty applique...

It was dark brown.
I think it looks much better white...

I loved it on my mantel!
But I just can't keep everything.

These two makeovers are available in my space at

Sharing with the lovely ladies at
and for the first time,

Thank you for stopping by!!

It is hard for me to decide what to keep. Sometimes I just love it for awhile then sell it.

What a transformation Sandi! I just LOVE the spoons as hooks, and the key images. That will sell quickly I'm sure. Fabulous applique, too. Are you sure you want to part with it? It looks spectacular on your lovely mantel. Love those zinc pots. :)

What awesome pieces. The makeover piece with the spoon hooks is awesome. I can only imagine how tough it is not keeping everything. I don't know how you do it...I'd would have a hard time letting go...Hee, Hee, Hee.

I have taken to putting things in the attic and rotating vignettes. Everything you did is beautiful. Did you buy the spoons already curved on the bottom or did you do it? I have seen some fun things with utensils and wondered how they were done.

Great makeovers! Love how you transformed the board with hooks. Sometimes it's fun to keep things for a few days before taking them to be sold.
