forgetful...

Have you ever bought something for yourself (or win a fabulous giveaway) and totally forget about it?
I have...a few times.
If I buy something for myself and don't want Jim to find out don't need to use it right away I will put it in a bag in the closet.
And forget about it.
I know a few of you out there have done the same thing!
However, after a while when I am in an organizing mode and stumble across the bag, it is like I just bought something new for myself again!
And didn't spend any money!!
In the beginning of June I won a giveaway from Glitterfest!
June is always so busy with school ending and summer beginning that this little bag got covered up in my studio as the lazy days of summer flew by...

Just look what is inside...

This beautiful Marie Antoinette soldered journal was created by the very talented Rita Reade of Mammabellarte.

I found a nesting place for it in my studio...
Thank you Rita...I love it!
Thank you for stopping by today...I hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Sandi,
That's so sweet! Your post made me laugh (the part of hiding it because you don't want Jim to see it) It made me think of old Lucy episode where she told Ethel " I buy a new dress and hang it in the closet for a few months...then when I wear it and Ricky says "Lucy, is that new"?, I can say "oh no, I've had this for months". hee hee
Blessings & hugs,
Karen

I have TOTALLY put something away and forgotten it. It's like getting something wonderful twice! Not really a bad thing. :)

That's gorgeous! I'll bet it was fun to find. :)
I hide things, too. Usually just by putting them away. No one would think to look for new clothes just hanging on hangers in my closet, right? My husband doesn't, anyway.

Oh what a sweet little "surprise". She's a beauty! When I do something like that it is usually because I am in a hurry to HIDE IT before the old boy can see it and ask what it is! Now..who...would...do...that...? xo Diana

Thats so pretty! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I am honored you liked my bedroom:) I hope you will become a follower I am new at this (but I'm a fast learner):)Are those blue hydragendas you have the actual color of them? If so I just have to grow some of those! I have never seen such a beautiful color!

Now that is really cute! I would lov eone watching over me in my studio! I laughed out loud with coffee when I realized there are others out there jsut like me. (in reference to the way we introduce things to our home by way of making it to a closet or a room) somehow seems easier down the road to say.....I have had that for awhile......... lol

Oh Sandi, I know what you mean about forgetting things and tucking them out of sight from the man. How funny!
That glitterfest win is gorgeous and looks perfect in your studio. The bag is cute, too!

That is so pretty Sandi! How talented Rita is:)

My dad dropped off a suitcase at my brothers that we'd left at his house. It was full of stuff I hadn't seen in a few years, my nieces were obsessed with it! We found tons of little dolls and some Winnie the Pooh stuff in there...needless to say I gave most of it to them:) They love tiny things just like their auntie does!

I usually buy things as gifts and them hide them way but don't know where I put them or what I bought ??? Your gift is lovely and deserves a spot front and center. Enjoy! Best wishes, Tammy

lol! I've gotta agree with Diana, Sandi! I usually rush my packages in the house and hide them before hubby sees them....then I forget either where I threw them or that I bought them at all! Good grief....lol!
