vintage frame bulletin board...

Years ago my husband made this bulletin board for me to hang over our computer from a fabulous vintage frame I got on Ebay... Just look at the wonderful corner details... I paid about $25 including shipping! Much cheaper than the one I wanted from the Ballard catalog. I'm a bit picky about what goes up on the board as it has to look pretty...an occasional note, photo or invitation, maybe. Although at Christmas I put up all the lovely photo cards I receive from family and friends. Well the other day at the shop I picked up a few pieces of old hardware and some sweet little stamped tea stained doilies. This is what I put together... I am loving this combination right now...soft dreamy shades of cream mixed with wonderful old metal pieces with lovely patinas... Look at the nice detailing on the drawer pull and door plate ~ at a few dollars each I couldn't pass them up...
The package of sweet stamped tea stained doilies was either $4 or $5, although with my new package of stamps I can make my own next time...

I just added an old key I had with a pretty little tag...
Speaking of tags, I tried to tea stain my own batch so I could use my new stamp set I bought. Perhaps put some in my little corner at the shop. One side came out just fine but the glossy side came out blotchy...any tips? So, I decided to just use them for price tags on my items for our Home & Garden Spring Gala Sale at the shop. I rubbed a brown ink pad along the edges after and here is what I ended up with...

I also did a few of these since I've been dreaming of springtime in Paris...I am joining in on Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesday. Thank you for stopping by! Go check out all the other thrifty finds, you won't be disappointed!!
