salvage chic...

Relaxed and a bit rejuvenated I might add ~ that is how I feel today! Browsing through my lovely book and reading your comments did the trick and soaking up some sun did not hurt either! So thank you very much! Today I am picking up my son Jake from soccer camp. We dropped him off last Sunday and on the way home stopped at one of my favorite little shops. Salvage Chic is one unique shop to find antiques and might I add very cool retro and vintage goods. That is exactly how they describe themselves and I agree. Christine was kind enough to let me take some photos to share with all of you. They have pieces that are unique... And they have some wonderful retro displays...Looking at all this brought back lots of memories...those were the colors in my house growing up! There are so many treasures to look at and rooms to browse through. Need something for your kitchen, right this way... Love the wall color ~ it is a cheery welcome to this wonderful room... Sweet old refrigerator in the corner... By now I am sure you are saying they have everything! They even have the kitchen sink... Of course while in the kitchen you need to have a cute apron on... I don't think their shop girl mannequin minds standing in that cute corner!! If you think having the kitchen sink was cool check this out... Cute little bath with some great vintage "stuff"... They don't just have one "powder room", they have two... Spied anything you just have to have yet? You can call ahead and put it on hold! They do a great job on their website showing you what's new and what has just sold. Whether you are looking for something shabby... Or unique... Or classically vintage... Salvage Chic has something for everyone! Take some time and visit Christine's blog too, "Diary of a Mad Antiquer". Love the blog name!! Of course you know I picked up a few treasures which I will show you tomorrow. Well, thank you Christine for letting me share your wonderful shop with my friends. And dear friends thank you for visiting today and when you visit Salvage Chic let them know I sent you!

What a neat shop! I love that wall color too. I had a frig just like that growing up; it was so cool! (no pun intended). I bet you could spend hours browsing around.

Isn't that a great shoppe? I've been there a couple of times myself and just love her place. Very different!! Glad you're feeling better...I'll bet scaring you with having to talk to crabby people at my job all day straightened you out - LOL!!!

Oh what a fun shop! It looks like a place you could get lost in for hours. I've been in several shops that I've really wanted to take pics of but I'm too scared to ask:( But I can't wait to see what you bought!

I love my sign over the armoire too, I'd been wanting to move it up for a while. Now I can see it from the kitchen and dining space too:) My CSN gift is supposed to arrive today, I'm so excited!!!!

Hi Sandi! Just wanted to let you know that after seeing your post on Victoria's "Living With White" book, I ordered it and received it yesterday! Yay! Can hardly wait to curl up and soak it all up...

Oh, and "Frannie", that little vintage fan you saw in my last post I nabbed at a local flea market this summer. I just love her! :)

Have a blessed Sunday!

Your comment definitely did make me smile! If my mirror goes missing, I won't need to send out an APB....I'll know just where to find it. LOL I actually bought that mirror from Mary Ellen sometime last year. Love this store you posted about. Where is it? Down the Cape? Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and hope to talk soon!
Blessings,
Karen

What a fabulous shop! Wow, I could do some serious damage there.

I'm glad my "enough" post resonated with you. I think we all feel like that sometimes, just remember how great you truly are. :-)

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs,
Anne

Hi Sandi!!!!

Oh dear...do you remember me? It's your little vintage friend that's so lonesome for you...
I've been a bad blogger lately!!! ;)
I'm so lonesome and I've enjoyed this past 30 minutes going back and reading your posts that I was behind on. I'm so happy you are enjoying the lake for the summer. I hope the heat lets up a little for you. It's so hot here in Louisiana...triple digits even without the heat index!!!!

I've been traveling a little and taking care of our little dog. She does have heart issues after all so my heart hasn't been up to really being on the computer much lately. I'm so sad for her. But I did manage to leave and travel a couple of weekends and that did my soul some good. I hope to get back into the routine of posting again but most importantly, I wanted to come and visit and let you know that I haven't forgotten about you...I AM very lonesome for you and I hope you are having fun with your girlfriends!!!!! :)
