keepers and bunnies...

Well, I did it again.
While out hunting for treasures for our third annual
At Home With White Show at the Wrentham Country Store
(which will be held on April 6th and 7th)
I found some things that I just can't part with.
You knew it would happen too, didn't you?!

They both ended up on the shelf in my den that I shared with you back in February...

The Dundee marmalade jar you see in the photo above was my Mom's and over the weekend I found an orange marmalade jar.  Guess I just started another collection..

I also found an old clock face...

Oh, and the bunnies are back...

Jim's grandmother made this in ceramics class years ago...

I also have one that his Mom made...

I actually found a small white canister just like the one holding my dried hydrangeas and thought I might keep it to start yet another collection...

Not too worry though, I did find some treasures for the show!

I repurposed an old window a few weeks ago for my booth and forgot to show you...

I have a few more old windows I hope to repurpose for the show as well.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for all the nice compliments on Jake's room makeover in my last post!

happy easter...

Hopping in to share some of my vintage inspired Easter vignettes with you and Debra for her Easter Party over at Common Ground.
You may remember these from last year...

Did you spy these bunnies in my last post where I was enjoying the sun shining in...

Keeping things simple, I was happy with this little corner...

But then I remembered a beautiful giveaway I won around Christmas from Lisa.  I took out the lovely things she filled it with (sorry, I forgot to take a before photo) and just changed it up for Easter...

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend and a Happy Easter!

benjamin bunny...

I picked up a new bunny figure at the shop the other day.
I think I will call him Benjamin Bunny...
I just loved all the tales from Beatrix Potter...
I remember having videos of these tales when my kids were little...
The video would also come with a book and an audio tape so your child could read along with the story...
I would read the stories to them as well but they loved to hear them read in the British accents on the tapes...
The best part was when my kids would "read" the story back to me in their little British accents...
More of Mr. McGregor's friends can be found at the shop too...

Wishing you all a beautiful holiday weekend ~ I hope you have fun with family and friends!
Now before you all go and start eating too many chocolate eggs or peeps go visit Debra over at Common Ground for her Easter inspired Vintage Inspiration Friday!
Thank you for stopping by!

P.S. ~ I would also like to thank Debra today for featuring my post from last week...how exciting!
Thank you Debra!!

easter bunny came early...

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! We enjoyed a beautiful day with sunny skies and the mercury reached almost 80! I had a small gathering of my little family, my older brother Mark and my college girl's good friend Danielle from school who I was thrilled to finally meet! On Saturday I was dancing with joy like these two cuties...
I was so happy because the Easter Bunny came early...I mentioned before that I was lucky enough to win my first blog giveaway from the fabulous Sarah at A Beach Cottage ~ a copy of Real Living magazine and a gift certificate to Anthropologie... Now I am sure you all know Dee of French Bleu Vintage ~ she has a beautiful blog and website ~well I won her recent giveaway too! Am I a lucky girl or what...
Beautifully packaged and I just love her card! Look what was inside... The sweetest "Welcome Spring" banner...

Thank you Dee!! I have also recently "met" Michelle from Petite Michelle Louise who has the most beautiful blog and Etsy shop. We live in the same state and after a bit of chit chatting she sent me a petite bag of sea pottery from a beach that my husband and I used to visit when we were dating...I am working on a little memory box for our 25th so this will be perfect! Thank you Michelle!! Last but not least is this sweet vintage book I got on Etsy...
Perfect for my spring vignettes. I am going to sadly pack away my Easter decorations this week but think I will keep this little glittered beauty out a bit longer...Thank you again for stopping by and reading my little musings ~ have a wonderful week!!!
