spring is in the air...

Spring is in the air around here as the temps went up this past week and the snow banks started to melt down!

I picked up a few bunches of baby's breath at the market the other day and spread them around the house...

I've been coloring in the living room, changing this...

into this...

Here is a closer look...

I borrowed a pillow from my den and am trying these shutters out from the shop...what do you think...

I also changed the mantel a bit, digging out my dried hydrangeas...

Also borrowing my faux firkin from the den...

I brought back my other mirror for over the mantel...

...renested my decoupaged eggs...

...and brought out my old carrier filled with my dried hydrangeas to add more color in front of the fireplace...

I was craving a little color and am happy the results...

Now off to Jennifer Rizzo's to see how everyone will be welcoming Spring into their homes!

painting to puttering...

As I took a break today from painting and sanding and tagging and packing all my treasures for the At Home With White Show, I wondered what I could post for White Wednesday.

I have been so busy lately that I have not done any fluffing around the house at all and do not have anything new to share...

So I just sat here on my big comfy white couch and enjoyed looking at the sun shining in...

Then I remembered a few treasures I won from my friend Sandi a while ago and did a little bit of Spring fluffing...

I won two beautiful vintage stamped silver spoons ~ "lavande" to put with a dried bunch of lavender in my studio and another one to tuck in with my french grammar book "Maison Des Fleurs"...

I missed puttering in my nest so I put my paint brushes away for the rest of the day and pulled out my Easter stuff.  Now I will be ready to share some vintage Easter inspiration at Debra's on Friday...

Happy Spring!

Winter left my little home town with the weather near 80 yesterday and this first day of Spring promises us more of the same!!

So, after a quick trip to the shop this morning and in between coats of white paint, I think I will break out my Spring and Easter goodies and do a bit of fluffing later on.

I picked this little cutie up the other day at Marshalls...

A sweet decoupaged bunny...

Looks like someone was not paying attention and put some of the papers upside down...

Good thing I am not a perfectionist...
