little black chair...

Well yesterday found me under the weather, flat out on the couch all day.  I have not had one of those days in a long time.  Fever, aches and no energy.  I am feeling a bit better today and will have to go food shopping, my least favorite thing in the world to do.  I hope I have some energy left when I get back because I am in the middle of preparing for the Vintage Holiday Sale at The Wrentham Country Store.  I was trying to think of how to decorate my booth and in keeping with our theme this year have decided to make a good old fashioned paper chain out of vintage book pages.  If I start to go down hill again later, at least I should be able to relax on the couch and get started on that.  I must admit I saw the idea yesterday somewhere in blogland through my lazy eyes.

This morning I thought I would share this sweet little chair I got at the shop a few weeks ago...
I have it in my downstairs bathroom right outside the shower.  I originally wanted a narrow, small table or tall stool but when I saw this I could not resist...

I love the rusty metal base...

The worn spindles...

I also love all the scratches on the seat, perhaps from a little one's buckles on their shoes as they squirmed in their seat...

I just think it is adorable...
And when I turned the chair around and saw this I knew it was meant to be...
Yellow paint!!  So for now this vintage little chair will nest in my downstairs yellow bathroom...

I am joining Debra over at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday as well as The French Cupboard where Jill is hosting Vintage Black Friday!  I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind comments on my booth makeover ~ I can't wait to see it again tomorrow!!  I am glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoy your weekend!!

Love the chair and love the wonderful charm worn into it ..Don't you just love when you find a piece that fits another perfectly ..that yellow pain was definitely the clencher ..!!!

I had that happen a few months back bought a vintage desk in aqua paint ..whilst a had a chair on hold I bought to re-sell ..when I picked the chair up ..it had aqua paint peeking out from under the white paint and when I got it home they were a perfect match ..so guess where the chair is ..LOL !!!

It's fun when things come together so perfectly ..

Blessings..Sara

Hey Sandi, sorry you aren't feeling well. I don't get sick often either so when something hits you like that, it's usually a doozy. Your booth looks great! And that little black chair certainly is sweet! Take care and have a great weekend. Making a paper chain sounds like a relaxing way to spend your time that doesn't take a lot of thought and energy yet is productive. Hope you are feeling better very soon. Best wishes, Tammy

Hello Sandi - I have a little chair like it, which we used for arts and crafts in our basement. Yours looks perfect in that bathroom - just the right size for a small space. I am glad to find your blog as I am a neighbor in MA. Hope you are enjoying this glorious autumn weather and don't forget to fall back tonight!

I hope you feel better! I always get sick when the seasons start to change like they are. My cure is always popsicles, gatorade, and chicken soup :o) That little black chair is adorable too! Can't wait to see your Christmas stuff
