Well yesterday found me under the weather, flat out on the couch all day. I have not had one of those days in a long time. Fever, aches and no energy. I am feeling a bit better today and will have to go food shopping, my least favorite thing in the world to do. I hope I have some energy left when I get back because I am in the middle of preparing for the Vintage Holiday Sale at The Wrentham Country Store. I was trying to think of how to decorate my booth and in keeping with our theme this year have decided to make a good old fashioned paper chain out of vintage book pages. If I start to go down hill again later, at least I should be able to relax on the couch and get started on that. I must admit I saw the idea yesterday somewhere in blogland through my lazy eyes.
This morning I thought I would share this sweet little chair I got at the shop a few weeks ago...
I have it in my downstairs bathroom right outside the shower. I originally wanted a narrow, small table or tall stool but when I saw this I could not resist...
I love the rusty metal base...
The worn spindles...
I also love all the scratches on the seat, perhaps from a little one's buckles on their shoes as they squirmed in their seat...
I just think it is adorable...
And when I turned the chair around and saw this I knew it was meant to be...
Yellow paint!! So for now this vintage little chair will nest in my downstairs yellow bathroom...
I am joining Debra over at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday as well as The French Cupboard where Jill is hosting Vintage Black Friday! I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind comments on my booth makeover ~ I can't wait to see it again tomorrow!! I am glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoy your weekend!!

black and boo...
Happy October everyone (and Happy Birthday Jodie)!! It is time to add a little black magic here to my nest which is just in time for Vintage Black Friday over at The French Cupboard. Before I give you a little peek at some of my Halloween decorations I wanted to show you this wonderful old mirror I got for my downstairs bathroom...
It is made of plastic and I am not sure if it is that old but I just loved the detail...
Oh and remember the old soaps from this post...I finally brought home a few...
Now I do not go all out for Halloween around my nest ~ I just add a few things here and there, like this invitation I found on Etsy...
Look how wonderful...
I also made a few of these little Halloween treat boxes...
Take a look at her hat (hee hee)...
Then I have these vintage silver coaster chalkboards...
Those are just a few vintage inspired treasures that I will be playing with today as I join in on the fun over at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday. (Wow ~ two great parties in one day!) I will do a post next week and show you how it all came together. Next week I am also going to put together a little giveaway because today is my 100th post! Time flies when you are having fun!! This blogging adventure just keeps getting better every day ~ thanks to all of you! Enjoy your weekend ~ xoxo!

vintage sheet music...
Today is Vintage Black Friday over at the French Cupboard and I would like to show you my framed vintage sheet music. They are very special to me ~ "When You're Alone" was my Mom's...
And "Oh, What A Pal Was Mary" was my Mother-In-Laws...
These two lovely ladies have been passed along to me and I treasure them. They were each displayed in bathrooms and I now display them in my downstairs bathroom...
I know, the wall color is quite bright (and even brighter in person!) but I think my black accessories really pop against it. Love this sweet old tin with a hand painted daisy, also from my Mom...
Her bathroom where these came from had the old black and green tile with black and white checkered floor. She made these curtains...
Sweet old black tole tray...
Still looking for something to hang above it. Perhaps one of those vintage, etched, frameless mirrors? Simple petite old black framed mirror in the corner...
Old fashioned looking light sconce over the sink (which needs a skirt) and white washed mirror...
I think I would like a different, bigger mirror too. I would definitely like to tone down the yellow, someday. Every room always seems to be a work in progress. Thanks for stopping by on this sunny Vintage Black Friday. I am also joining My Romantic Home for Show and Tell. Lots of eye candy today and Happy Easter from me and my peeps...
