over the top with excitement...
Happy Friday everyone! It is Show and Tell again over at My Romantic Home and I am over the top with excitement on what I am sharing with you all today!! Yesterday I went in to the shop to add some new treasures to my little corner. As usual I take a peek in everyone's booth to see what is new. That is when I saw her... She was just standing in the corner keeping watch over Maureen's lovely booth. Mary Ellen had told me about her on Sunday and she was right, I just love her! Thank goodness she was still there! So, Miss~soon~to~be~named~something~fabulously~french came home with me. I am going to enjoy her at home for a while and then she will keep watch in my booth with a wonderful display of vintage inspired jewelry. Of course she needed to pose around the house a bit... She can be shortened for a table top or stand tall and proud... I thought about leaving her at the top of the stairs to greet Jim and Jake when they got home but knew how that would go over... Then I wondered how she would look in my Paris Hotel Suite... Or in the Princess Suite... I really should do a post on the Princess Suite before she comes home for the summer, so stay tuned! Eventually she ended up in my room. Now I call it my room ~ some people call it their craft room, work space, office and so on. My room sounds blah and I am not a fan of the others either...what do you call the space where you create? Anyway my room is where she will nest for now... Since something new was coming in to my room I had to tidy up from all my recent projects. Then this led me to change a few things around. I know that you have seen a little bit of my room when I did this post, but since I tidied up I thought I would show you more. My little collage now hangs near Vivienne and I filled her bathtub with packages of sweet vintage cards that spell out "Bonjour" and "Paris" that I got from Sandi over at Wayside Treasures ~ she packaged them so nicely I hate to open them... She even gave me an extra "S" which I tucked in among my little printer's tray filled with vintage rhinestone earrings and pins... The lovely ladies painting that used to lean kitty corner above my chair finally hangs on the wall... I just used a matalesse coverlet on my Mom's old wing back chair. I like to relax there sometimes and catch up on my magazines. I also finally framed the photo of my Mom and Dad from their honeymoon. Jim hung a shelf for me to hold my little decoupaged mannequins that are in my etsy shop... I would like a mirror to hang just above the old salvage piece of cabinetry... Wow, I didn't realize how long this post is getting. I have shown you the relaxing part of my room ~ I guess I will save the working part for a post next week. Well thank you all for stopping by and thank you Cindy for hosting today. I am also over the top with excitement to be off camping this weekend! I hope you all have something exciting planned too!

sue's master suite...
Happy White Wednesday everyone! Big thanks to Kathleen of Faded Charm for hosting! As promised we are going back to Sue's to take a peek at her master suite... I love the soft green walls and how cute is that little nightstand... Of course she has a wonderful white bureau as well... The vignettes that Sue creates are so adorable...Unlike my Paris Hotel Suite ~ Sue has a master bath... And she also has a sitting room off the bedroom which is my favorite room in her house... Can't you just see yourself lounging in that chaise with a cool drink and the latest copy of your favorite magazine... Looking at this hat makes me sad I sold my pink one (but Andrea loves it so I know it has a good home)... Pretty little wicker desk... Wonderful mirror over the desk...Can you see the pretty lace curtains, the pink beach sign and the chandelier! As I said this is my favorite room, which one is yours? Thank you Sue for letting us stop by ~ if you missed the first part of the tour you can see it here. Remember ~ I am saving Sue's wonderful guest room for a post around Memorial Day! Well, enjoy your day and have fun looking at all the other dreamy whites over at Faded Charm!

yard sales and a sunrise...
I have been reading for weeks about all your successful picking at yard sales. Well this past Saturday I finally headed out myself to a few in town. My son had track practice and I had to drop him off and pick him up so I needed to stay local...hey...wait a minute...couldn't he have ran to and from? Oh well ~ the first two opened at 8:30 and they were both full of toys and clothes for babies and kids. I could not find the next one ~ but when I read the sign as I left the neighborhood saw that it did not start until 10. Who starts yards sales at 10? All the driving around paid off at the next one. A few items were ready to go right into the shop that I forgot to take pictures of (sweet little blue child's rocker and a wicker mirror). Here is what I need to work on ~ nice little library table that will get a coat of white...Fabulous vanity table which will also get a shabby white makeover..I felt a french vibe from this little shelf which will be seeing the paint brush too...I scooped up three of these pretty frames. They were originally gold and I sprayed them ivory...I framed a poem from the Graphics Fairy...As well as a lovely print for Jac's room...I scored all this for under $20!! By this time Jake called for a ride so I picked him up and went to one more. I found this cute print for Jaclyn's dorm room...
As well as this treasure chest...I got them both for $7! I am still deciding if the chest is a keeper or not. If it is a keeper I want to try the heirloom white that you all love. If I decide to put it in my booth should I keep it as is? Let me know what you would do! There were a few more sales that I wanted to hit but I needed to get back and get ready for my shift at the shop, which made Jake happy. While I was making the rounds all morning my husband left very early to go fishing out on his boat. He took this photo of the sunrise as he made his way down the Cape Cod Canal...Beautiful isn't it! Thank you Linda at Coastal Charm for hosting Nifty Thrifty Tuesday and thank you all for stopping by

a visit with sue...
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Do you remember when we visited with Maureen? Well, when she emailed me photos of her home she also sent me some photos of her sister-in-law Sue's home as well. Yes, you guessed it...Sue has invited us in for a little tour! She lives on a lake and I am told every room has a view of it! Cute as a button outside... Here is her foyer ~ what a warm welcome her guests receive! See the mural going up the stairs? Sue painted it herself...Lovely white tables and accessories...
Beautiful dining area... What a fabulous bench and I love all the different chairs at the table. See the suitcases under the bench...so sweet! I think I am going to take my white ones out of my booth and use them in my den! Here is a little peek at her living room (I think) ~ so cottagey... Sue has shared some more photos with me but I am going to save a few for White Wednesday as well as a post around Memorial Day ~ how is that for a tease!! Thank you Sue for letting us visit today! Thank you Maureen for the photos...it was worth all the download waiting time!! Happy Monday everyone ~ have a great week!

summer plans and a winner...
Happy Friday everyone!! I know you all must be looking forward to the weekend as much as I am. However I am looking forward to next weekend even more since it is opening weekend at Pinewood Lodge Campground where we have been seasonal campers for the past 14 years! I thought today for Show and Tell Friday over at My Romantic Home (thanks for hosting Cindy!) I would show you where we live on the weekends and for most of the summer. Our season runs from May 1st til Columbus Day Weekend. A few weekends ago Jim, Jake and I went down to clean up the site. Well they cleaned the outside and I fluffed inside. I brought down all the linens, paper goods and some pantry items. I uncovered all my little accessories and made a list of what I still need. I took some quick photos... Here is our trailer ~ 38' Sandpiper. It is really my little summer cottage. When the awning is raised we have a screen room that we put up and it makes a wonderful porch. I have a pretty white wicker set for it and that is where I love to sit and relax. Unfortunately they have not made a trailer with a shabby interior (hmmm...now that is a job I would love!). I used to be a country cottage girl so this is where some of those accessories ended up. Let's take a peek inside... This cute watering can print used to hang in my kitchen when it was sage green. It goes perfect in my trailer now.
My friend Barbara gave me this lemonade sign. Barbara and her husband Tiny were our first camping friends. They moved down to Florida and we miss them alot. Here is my little kitchen... The trailer has a "bump out" which really gives you alot more space. Here is our dining room and living room... We have an entertainment center... The kids have the front bedroom...You walk through the bathroom... To get to the master bedroom out back... I promise to share some better photos once we get down and settled. Memorial Day weekend is when I usually get my flowers planted. I have lots of pots here and there and put some in the ground around this tree...

Jim's shed...
Look at this great vintage lantern I got recently... This will look great in my screen porch since the cushions for my wicker set are green and yellow. I love having this extra room. We have had many cocktail hour(s) with friends on our porch and it is a great place for us to gather when it rains too. We have made so many great friends over the years. We get together often during the off season. My very good friend Lisa lives in the next town but during the summer she is right across the street... Pinewood Lodge is a great family campground. There is a lake for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. They also have playgrounds, a basketball court, horseshoe pits and a game room. We are so lucky to have been able to give our kids this experience. Thanks Jim!! Do any of you camp? What do you do for the summer? I would love to hear from you!! I would also love to hear from Jeanine over at One Cheap B*tch ~ she is the winner of my giveaway!!! She is one of the most creative people I have met since I have been blogging. Well have a wonderful weekend and on your way to see what everyone else is showing and telling about today make sure you stop by Jeanine's and say congratulations!! Here is a picture of our lake at the campground. Thanks to my friend Lisa's son Matt who is a budding photographer for sharing his photo! Don't forget to tell me about your summer plans!
