old tattered lampshade...

While I was spring cleaning my studio a few weeks ago I created this little vignette on top of the tall shelf that sits next to my work table...

I also used some of my flower frogs to display some business cards from some recent purchases I made...
Lovely ladies who inspire me daily.

Since then I changed out the sheet music...
I also hung up the old tattered lamp shade I got...
I think I like it...
But know it is not quite right yet.  Let me know what you think!

I'll be hanging out in here today getting "stuff" together to bring in the shop this afternoon when Jim gets home from work.  I sold quite a bit during the weekend sale including a few big pieces and need to fill in the spaces.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend and hope you did too.
Thanks Jaclyn and Jake...love you both!!
Have a great week!
Brimfield on Wednesday!!

random vintage...

Just in case you are planning to go treasure hunting this weekend I thought I would wet your appetite and share some new finds I spied this past week at The Wrentham Country Store.  Remember my post last Friday about vintage trailers?  How cute would this old thermos look in one...
Perhaps you collect books...
I think this old certificate would look great in a home office...
Maybe you need something for your outdoor space...
Are you looking for some old windows?  My fellow shop girl Mary who has recently started the blog Chanel's Shabby Rose has these two great old gray ones...
I brought some of my recent finds into my booth like the brass lamps...
The beautiful old sheet music...
And a sweet pair of old hobnail lamps that I fitted with these vintage lamp shades...
I know the royal wedding is over but I did not get a chance to share the shop's displays with you last week...

If you are local we are having a Mother's Day Sale this weekend and would love to have you drop by to see what else the shop girls have in store for you!

Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day weekend!
I would like to share this portrait of my Mom with you...

Miss you Mom!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I am sharing these random vintage treasures with Debra for her Vintage Inspiration Friday at Common Ground.
Thank you for hosting Debra!

perfect fit...

Back in February I showed you my little den makeover.
While I am very happy with how the room turned out this wall just needed a little something...
I originally had thoughts of mixing some architectural salvage with vintage mirrors.
I finally bit the bullet and committed to a new look.
I started by switching the trumeau style mirror with the old 6 pane window that I already had behind the printer...

I like it much better.
Then I replaced the window behind the printer with another old chippy one I already had that has a few panes with a greenish tint to them...
I bought some old shutters at the shop a few weeks ago and decided to use one as a shelf over the desk...
What do you think...

As you can see I used a few of the treasures I found over the weekend to dress it up...

I thought the old oil can looked great with some of my Mom's old pitchers...

I kept the wooden advertising piece and put one of my vintage flower frogs in front of it...
I need to find the perfect little something to stick in it.

I put the wonderful old tin next to a vintage clam rake I bought at the shop...
I love it and think it fits perfectly in the room...
Now I just need to find the perfect chandelier...
Those spots are in the mirror not on my ceiling!

Thank you for visiting today!
I am joining Kathleen for White Wednesday today over at Faded Charm.  Next Wednesday I am hoping to head to Brimfield.  Anyone else going?

weekend finds...

It was a beautiful weekend to kick off our camping season!
The fires were hot.
The company was great.
The jello shots had whipped cream.
The best part is I get to do it all over again next weekend!

I also hit the antique shops in downtown Plymouth.
Here is a peek at what I came home with...
I found these wonderful old flower frogs for my collection...
I like the color of these old safety deposit boxes...
Then there is "The Dollar Princess"...
This book is a musical play chock full of sheet music.  I thought the cover was just so lovely...
I also picked up a few other sheet music booklets...
The blue eyes drew me in on this one...
The song title on this one...
Two more pretty ladies...
While my intent was shopping for new treasures for my booth I think I might have trouble parting with some things...
I love the birds on this tray...
And I am loving the patina and advertising on these two pieces...

I have a new space to fill in my nest and am glad I have some new pieces to play with...
Loving the color...
A perfect old tin for my cottage farmhouse look...
I do know that these two brass lamps dripping in prisms are going into the shop...

I also picked up this shabby old mirror...
With wonderful old wood painted pink...
I am getting ready to part with my rose painting you see in there and I think this mirror will look nice with it on display in my booth.

As always I am so thankful that you stop by and visit with me.
I love to read your comments and am grateful for the friendships that are growing.
I want to welcome my new followers!
My 400 follower giveaway is still in the works.
I have been going back and forth on the prize.
Should I put together some farmhouse inspired treasures or should I give away a gift certificate to Lowes or Home Depot (for some paint for your latest project) or Pottery Barn, Ballard Design or HomeGoods (to help you get that special thing you've been eyeing) or to Anthropologie (just because I think it is a fun store with awesome displays)?
Maybe you have a favorite Etsy shop?
I wish Etsy would offer gift certificates!
Any suggestions?

Have a great day and
God Bless America!!!
