scattered roses...

Today I thought I'd share some scattered roses around my nest...

Pretty dreamy vintage white rose print with a chippy old frame. This one is at home in my den. Also in my den is this lovely framed poem...

I bought this at the shop. Originally the frame was painted silver but I warmed it up with a cottage white. A few sweet roses in my bathroom, an old Homco rose plaque that, of course, I painted white...

I have another one of these in my little corner in the shop. Look how pretty this bowl is...
and lovely plate...I love roses and aqua together...

I have this sweet vintage book displayed with it that I got on Etsy. The cover looks like leather...

I got this sweet vintage booklet on Etsy. I have it in my bedroom... Sweet old pitcher adorned with roses...

Look how beautiful these hatboxes are...my kids got them for me for Christmas. They were filled with wonderful, thoughtful gifts. I use them for storage in my craft room...
I'm planning on listing this adorable pink spice rack with rose adorned little jars in my Etsy Shop soon...
Finally is the dried yellow rose from my Valentine's Day bouquet from my husband. I've got it nestled in among my small collection of vintage swivel mirror bases in my craft room...

pink pin money...

Growing up I remember my Nana asking me if I had "pin money" before I went out the door with friends or on a date. I guess she always made sure that my Mom had a dollar pinned to her clothes in case she needed to make change for a phone call or money to take the bus home. Later my Mom would use that phrase for the money she would save using coupons. She would save up her "pin money" to go to a flea market or estate sale and find a new treasure for her nest. My Mom and Nana are both gone now but I keep the tradition going.
