busy, busy shop...

Good Morning!
Just wanted to pop in and thank you all for your nice comments on the Wrentham Country Store's feature in Romantic Homes Magazine's August issue!
The shop has been so busy ever since, and we are all enjoying having our regular customers come in and celebrate with us as well as meeting new customers, some traveling from other states!

With the shop being extra busy lately, I needed to do some serious treasure hunting last weekend to keep my space full for our customers.
I headed in very early yesterday morning to beat the sizzling summer heat that we are having lately.  I love the way the sun shines in my space!  Here are a few new vignettes I put together...

I really wanted to keep this mirror...

I found two beautiful cut glass and brass compotes, one with prisms...

I also made some more french inspired flour sack towels...

Thanks to my friend Sue for picking this shabby old wicker bassinet up for me...

I wasn't alone at the shop early yesterday.
Quite a few of my fellow Shop Girls were in changing up their spaces and bringing in fresh stock!
If you are local, come on in today to see what is new ~ the AC is on!

I hope you all are enjoying your summer ~ I sure am!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

The wicker bassinet is the perfect way to display old quilts. I love it! Your space is filled with so many interesting pieces. I wish I could take a walk through the shop!

Oh Sandi I wish I lived near that shop. So many treasures I would want to take home. I love that fab mirror too. Gorgeous. Everything is so cute in your booth. We are having the same blasted heat wave here in Chicago. Toooooo hot and humid even for this summer girl.

So many pretties in your booth Sandi!! I need to learn how to make those towels. Do you do the iron on method?

My internet is weird today. Can't bring anything up except blogs, ebay and a devotional site. Can't use my kindle. It says signal is excellent , but no connection. No facebook, pinterest or email...:(

HOW is a person to survive without all that??? I think I got more done today than I have for awhile though. LOL
Blessings~

Sandi,
Exquisite, dear friend!!!
Your booth is so very soothing!
"Mr. Ed" & I took our dauther~in~law to our favorite Antique Mall on Tuesday! We arrived as they were opening and I told her many of the vendors might be fluffing their booths after a busy weekend. She found two new pieces of Yellow ware that go with the collection I started for her at Christmas. I, also, found a second piece in June. She swallowed hard when she saw the price!!! But the two she picked up enhance her others and she has found a new love in her kitchen!!! (She doesn't cook...so I try my best to get her to feel comfortable in the kitchen!)
We had such a wonderful day!!! The only thing that would have made it better would have been the opportunity to have visited YOUR booth!!! One can dream. . .
Fondly,
Pat

Looks so summery and I bet the light from the window only accentuates that!
I love the word "shopgirls". Just thought I should say that out loud.

Love that desk - did you paint it? Thought of you last week as we zipped by on Rt 495 - no stopping on the way this year as we had a caravan of 3 cars - Hope to come back in the fall (all by myself!)

I'm not surprised you're receiving more new customers, Sandi. What a wonderful tribute that article was! I LOVE your space - all that beautiful white. :)
My sister stopped by WCS fairly recently. She asked, but you weren't working the particular day. She loved it there and will definitely be back!

must pick up this RH issue. How wonderful for everyone, and well deserved. Sandi, you know how much I love the shop, and most of the things I brought home are from your booth.
Always so very special!
Wished I lived near by. I think I would become a fixture in there, ha ha.
It is feeling a bit better today, but we could have used some rain...nada...
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Evi

Hi Sandi,
Not that you need my help? Because you my friend are on your way with adding your own rightness to what you create here but, I would be more then happy to help in any way I can offer you. Fill my in box with all you want, I welcome anything from you my dear friend..
I really think we are a good fit and if we were room mates our homes design would make a happy merge together without any of our pieces fighting for attention.

Thank you Sandi, girl! You warm my heart with every visit, you know how to make a girl feel special.

See you soon.

Ooooooop's.......

I Forget to answer you about your making over in the fall, I too have been anxious to post more gloom, I love the winter depths of grey sky's, the dampness of winter. As much as I am so enjoying the blogs with all the romance of chic and shabby and adding some florals in my own home, I just can't wait to start posting my lack of colour and the richness of old tarnishes of white and grey.

You most likely felt that when you visited me and my latest post? You see on the southern Ca. Desert we had some strong over casted hot days where the sky's were so dark and grey, it was then I got out my camera and arranged a few vignettes to reflect that mood I live with so well.

Bring it on gloom of days :)

See you soon
