I thought I would pop in today and share a little sneak peek of the makeover in my son's room that I have been working on.
I am blending a little industrial...
Cool vintage gas station number from the shop
With some wonderful reclaimed wood that my husband found curbside...
free
I shopped around my house and found a night stand...
yard sale find for $5
Then I shopped my booth and found a mirror...
thrifting find for $8
I am trying to keep the budget very low for this makeover.
I did pick up a few things at Ikea and Walmart.
I also used the rest of a gift certificate to Pottery Barn that I won in a giveaway for this sign...

I painted the walls gray, although they look on the blue side in the photos. They do have a blue~ish tint during the day, but at night they are the dark gray I was going for.
I am hoping to finish up the last few projects like a headboard out of the old wood Jim brought home.
(Ok, I am waiting for Jim to finish that project.)
I need to find the perfect curtain rod and get some closet doors up too.
I am also waiting for Jake to come home on Thanksgiving break from school before I put anything up on the walls.
I like that he wants some input!
I am sharing with Linda at Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday and Kristen at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia for Tuesday's Treasures.
Thank you ladies for hosting!
Thank you all for stopping by today, have a great day!

Looking forward to seeing it! I know I will like it.
It looks like it is going to be an awesome room! I'm working on something very similar for my 13yr old son. He is fighting me every step of the way, but I know he'll like it when it's done.
Sandi, Can't wait to see the results. Looks like some very nice things to use in decorating. Smiles, Susie

It's gonna be cool. Love the sign.
I painted one room grey and I've noticed it takes on a bluish tint at certain times during the day as well. Doesn't matter...I know it's grey!

Hi Sandy,
Love what you have done to your sons room, I say don't wait hang it all making it a perfect surprise home coming.
I love how exciting a boy/mans room can be in the flea market style designs, it's such a trench with the natural tones, and grey's that is makes for a beautiful flow from room to room now, where a boys room dose not chop up the homes decor.
Love the grey walls, you can add that touch of lightness we all love so with using painters drop cloths as coverlet Duvey on his bed, and window treatments. The trend in home decor is such a great blend with our industrial and flea market finds making for a great flow and blend throughout our homes.
Sandy, I am excited to see the out come of your sons room and all the creativeness you add to it.
It's going to be a great room to come home to :)
