that's what friends are for...

What do you do when your friend asks you to help her get her booth ready for a show?
You say yes of course!
Tuesday night after the shop closed, Mary Ellen and I jumped right in and transformed one of her spaces.
The rustic farmhouse look...

Good bye burlap covered walls...

Was transformed into a softer, french inspired space that has a vintage dressing room feel to it...

We covered some of the walls with a drop cloth to soften the space and brighten it for our At Home With White Show.

Mary Ellen has some great treasures in her three spaces to choose from.  We gathered pieces in blacks, whites and creams and added a bit of golds and metals for some interest.

When it is time to bring in her pieces for the show, this setting should be perfect to showcase her white treasures.
Take a peek in the corner...see the old folding screen?
We staged it to look like an old fashioned dressing room...

It was a lot of work (I have been sore for days) but it was so much fun!
Thanks for asking me to help Mary Ellen!
In her middle space we put together a display with some colors of Spring...

This display will be changed very soon for the show.
Just wait until you see what she is putting together!

Next week she is going to start transforming yet another one of her spaces and giving it a garden theme.
She asked me to help her again and I said yes...because that's what friends are for!

I am joining my friend Debra for Vintage Inspiration Friday.
Thank you all for stopping by ~ have a wonderful weekend!

You are a good friend. Don't you just the best sense of satisfaction out of doing something like that? It looks really, really good...and I like the softer look of the white. I wonder how long the burlap craze will continue? xo Diana

Sandi,
Tonight, I purchased a card for my dear friend, Cheryl...it applies to the same type of relationship you have for your dear friend (and my blog friend), Mary...
God brought
a friend like you
into my life
to gently remind me
what is good
and loyal and true.

A friend loves at all times Proverbs 17:17

Have a blessed White Show!!!

You are just the bestest friend, aren't you, Sandi? :) I'll bet that you two shared more than one smile and laugh together creating that gorgeous space! I do like it better with the dropcloth. Softer and cleaner looking. I spent the afternoon at MY new booth at Doster Emporium today! HOW FUNNNNNN!!! I'm bringing more stuff over there tomorrow. I can't wait! :)
