it's time...

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving!!  My day was just perfect!!  However, today is THE day...I get to start decorating for Christmas!!  Today is also Vintage Inspiration Friday over at Common Ground and I thought I would share this old mirror I bought for my mantle...
I think you might remember I had that old rose painting there to warm up my room for the fall and winter but it really was too dark for me.  You know I love vintage white mirrors and I just love the shape of this one.  Look at all the detail and curves...

I always start my holiday decorating with my mantle and I think this will be a beautiful backdrop this year...
We usually do not light fires in the fireplace but I always have it full of candles to light for special occasions...

Thank you Debra for hosting today ~ I am off to see some more vintage inspiration then it's time to deck the halls!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

You are too good ~ I am so exhausted, I can't even begin to think about dragging out the Holiday decorations. I know I'll feel guilty about that soon though and give it the ol' college try. Have a great weekend.

Hi Sandi- That mirror is the perfect backdrop for your Holiday mantle. Now that you said it..I am wondering how many other people start with their mantle...because I always do too. Isn't it funny all the little quirky things that tie us all together? hugs- Diana

Yep decking the halls around here to and loving it.
I wish so badly that I had a mantel fireplace to decorate around
Nothing says Christmas like a glowing fire, even if it is a cluster of beautiful candles!!!

I love your mirror! Such a beautiful shape and the wood on it makes it perfect! I am using a mirror on my mantle too (not nearly as pretty as yours). Can't wait to see all of your decorations.

I really love the idea of candles in the fireplace, especially since ours doesn't put off much warmth anyway. It looks so pretty. That mirror is beautiful too.

Marcia

Oh how I love the shape of that mirror, it adds another element to the whole mantel. Love the white!
I haven't even thought about decorating yet or Christmas shopping. I know, I need to get moving here.
