certificat de bapteme...

Did you ever come across a vintage treasure that was so beautiful you had to just sit and stare at it for a while...
I found this beauty in my attic...

I think I knew it was there but had put it aside in my mind for a while ~ until I was ready to appreciate all it's beauty...

This is my Dad's baptism certificate or "Certificat de Bapteme"...

See the date...November 12, 1929.  Today would have been my Dad's 81st birthday.  However, today I am not going to be sad because I miss him I am going to remember his smile, his kindness, his wit and the true gentleman that he was ~ as well as all the wonderful, happy memories we made together.  My daughter was baptised 21 years ago today so it is another reason to smile and gaze at this beautiful family treasure...
Today is also Vintage Inspiration Friday over at Common Ground where Debra is playing hostess of this fun party (thanks Debra!).  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting!!
