help wanted...

After days of Spring cleaning the inevitable moving around and changing things up of "stuff" has begun.
I need some help in my kitchen though.
There is this one spot that I want to change but am looking for suggestions or inspiration on what to choose.
Take a peek...

See it...the "nest" sign in the frame...

I am looking for inspiration and want to replace both pieces...any suggestions?
I am happy with everything else...

I am also happy it is the weekend!!
So, let me know if you have any ideas for something new (or old) to replace these...

Thanks for visiting ~ have a great weekend!

Hi Sandi. This was difficult. You have such a cosy kitchen.
What about hang the pan and the Horseshoe sign together on one wall? Love the both by the way.

Hope you get a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Maybe a long horizontal shelf with pretty white brackets and white plates?? and pull the plates away from the Horseshoe Hill plaque which i love by the way, and lower it a tad. Or even just a plate wall with white plates in different shapes... a shelf might be too high up with brackets, i don't know, but it would be pretty inexpensive and easy to use white plates...
I always love seeing this room, it is the pretties shade of blue ever, and like i said, i just love your plaque.

I like your nest sign. Maybe just remove the frame from around it and it will look different. Or put a piece of wood in the frame to make a chalkboard of it..xoxo,Susie

I cast my vote for a long shelf, or even two for lots of display space. I love your farm sign with the pretty plates hung below!

Sandi,
Love the wall with the chalkboard!!!
First, let me say that your kitchen looks amazing!!!
I know how during the Spring +cleaning, we desire to make some updates in our home.
Right now, in the Land of Blog, I'm seeing lots of wood crates and vintage boxes. So, my thought is perhaps removing some of the round and hang a wood crate to bring some of the same shapes to that side of the room. Crates on their side make such cute shelves to fill with simple vignettes!!!
Be sure to let us know and I'll be back for the reveal!!!
Have a marvelous weekend, dear friend!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Love your kitchen Sandi! Hmmm maybe a different frame? If you want to keep that oval frame than I would try hanging something else.Something that does not have a specific shape like a bunch of dried hydrangeas for example.Or keep the nest sign and find a frame with a similar shape. But you may have to change that other oval frame if you change that one too.It is always hard changing things around isn't it.Sometimes I visualize something but when I do it I don't like it.I normally take a photo of something when I change.A photo says allot. If it does not photo right then I know I need to change it.

Okayyy!
Hears what I think start over take it all down pull the table more away from the corner and the wall if all possible. Do you have an old door or shapely footboard or headboard that you could hang on the mirror wall and then layer it with your treasures like the mirror in the center and the plates on the sides, or fill the headboard space with all shapes of mirrors. Or a door hung horizontally screwed into the suds of the wall and layer the door with a shelf mounted at the top edge and your treasure under the shelf and along side of the shelf.

I think you could add lots of body and interest to the wall with something really beat up and peal-lie old to anchor the room with wow!
How about the top half of a small hutch top panted old white and grey's and then mounted on the wall and then layer the sides with plates and fill the hutch inside with the sign, and a bird nest, books and ironstone pieces in al naturals of whites, driftwood tones and burlap-ish .
I think something large and old will add a lot of interest to the wall without having to have small pieces getting lost on the wall.

Even if you have a large ornate old mirror, you can remove the mirror and add old distressed wood to the back side then hang it up on the wall and hang a mirror or a few mirrors in a grouping on it. This gives age and detention to the wall with layers.

Just some ideas of what I plan to do with an old mirror.

See you soon, oh Sandi and if the wall stays as is I am sure it's beautiful in itself when you enter it's space :)

See all you inspire soon.

I agree with Cindy, Sandi. I think a long white shelf would look great on that wall...and then maybe prop a neat old framed (or canvas) painting on it? Have fun with it all, girlie!

Hi Sandi,
I like the nest sign in the frame. I do think shelves there would be good too. Hope you have fun changing it up.

Your kitchen is so pretty Sandi. I think all of us want to change things up a bit even though it looks good. Maybe we should all live in each others homes for awhile...lol!!

Oooooh Dore has some wonderful suggestions Sandi! I can't wait to see what you do with the space. Whatever it is I know it will be so pretty. After all, it is in YOUR house :)

Hi Sandi! You've done such a great job in this kitchen, it all looks wonderful already. Sounds like you are looking to replace the Nest sign & the oval frame surrounding it?
I really love that metal basket (whatchamacallit) with the dried hydrangea that is hanging on the other side of the central mirror. Maybe you could add some symmetry by putting another rustic piece where the nest sign is now. Then you see the gorgeous oval mirror flanked by two rustic pieces - a mix of rustic & elegant.
Have fun no matter what you do - you've got such a great stash of STUFF to work with! :)
(p.s. aren't you loving this spring weather - yippee!)

Hi Dear Sandi,
I love your dining room/kitchen!! I really like what you've done, but I like the idea of adding a shelf so you can display more of your beautiful treasures!
Hope your doing well my friend.
Sincerely,
Melinda
