party hopping...

Just above my thoughtful spot in my cozy corner of my craft room (which I want to re-name) sits one of my new vintage finds that has given me a lot of inspiration lately...
I have been admiring the industrial look lately and love all the unique ways these pieces can fit into anyone's home...
I have already added "industrial" to my treasure hunting list for my nest and my booth and recently found this old drawer with metal dividers...
Change does not come easy for me, nor do I make quick decisions.  I intended this piece for my booth as I did not think it would fit in my home.  My nest is shabbily feathered, with a few french touches here and there.  I love dreamy, vintage whites and I am wandering toward the farmhouse look (have you seen Anne's new home!) where I know any industrial piece would fit perfectly.  I sometimes wonder if all the styles I love will blend together.  As a fan of Kim's I remind myself to fill my home with things I love that make me happy.  Isn't that what it's all about?!  So I figured I would start slipping industrial in small with this drawer...
I have a wonderful collection of old flower frogs ~ the drawer provides a perfect display for some of them...
My flower frog display and I are party hopping today from Common Ground where Debra is hosting Vintage Inspiration Friday to Margo's Junkin Journal where she is hosting her Industrial Chic party!  Thank you ladies for hosting!  Before you go party hopping make sure you have entered my giveaway (click on the button on the sidebar to enter) which ends 10~20~10!  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Fabulous that you are using that lovely old drawer as a display shelf. I think when you buy what you love, no matter what era it is from, it will always fit into your surroundings. I love an eclectic look to anything matchy-frou-frou. Your thoughtful spot is so pretty. And your giveaway fabulous! I told you our anniversary is on the 20th, but I'll be spending the evening at the first meeting of the Yarn and Fiber group that I am joining. My husband said he is a-o-k with that. Yea! Have a great weekend. :) Tammy

Hi-I'm a new follower, and I love this drawer. I am a big fan of boxes, drawers, cubbies, etc. and think they fit into any decor. I'm also a collector of flower frogs. I showed my latest ones a couple of posts ago.

I have found that if you love something, you can make it fit, blend in and tell a story about who you are.
The drawer looks great and besides flower frogs, you can put in little things that reflect the seasons.
Just have fun!

Hello! I think if you love it, it can mix! The drawer is way cool if worse comes to worse it would be really neat painted white, I know I am still stuck there.

I love those kind of drawers..the metal dividers just give it a little extra oomph. I love you style - even as it changes a bit and allows new things in - it still remains "your" style.

Great find, Sandi! I, too, am leaning toward the "industrial" lately, too. Ever so slowly, treasures like your drawer are creeping into my "wanna-be-French-farmhouse". LUV all of your flower frogs, girlie! I've displayed some b/w photos in the ones I've picked up at flea markets, and am obsessed with how French they now look. :) Nice job!!!!

You're going to rename your craft room? That sounds intriguing. I like the way that you are slowly adding things that you enjoy to your home. What a great find that drawer was and the perfect way for you to display your collection of flower frogs.

I love this piece - it's so functional. I always like to organize and have little spots to put special things. I love flower frogs, too, especially cuz my friends don't know what they are and it makes me sound very knowledgeable about antiques (which I'm not!) Great find!
