he was right...

It took a few days to give this desk it's makeover...
I spent Sunday sanding, painting, sanding and painting some more...

Seeing how beautiful it was coming out, I decided to keep it and switch it out with the table I have in my craft room.  After it was done I could not wait to get it in my room to see how it would look...

Jim kept telling me that he did not think it was big enough for all my projects.  Of course I thought he was wrong...

I envisioned the vintage typewriter on the desk too...
Of course I would not have it right in the middle, it would be off to the side with a cute vignette surrounding it...

As I stood there admiring my work, I realized, he was right...

Just look how much space I miss out on.  My table went from the wall to the little shelf.  I know I could put a lot of the things that I had on the table into the drawers but I still do not think there will be enough room.  I hate to admit it when he is right ~ but he is, this time...

So, sadly, off to the shop the desk will go.  I had this chair in the shop but brought it home to add some numbers...

I think they will look nice together in my booth...
As you can see, the wonderful white desk is out of my room and waiting to go in my booth.  Speaking of my booth, all the doors are ready and waiting for the makeover, which I hope will happen this weekend...

I am now searching for a spot to keep the old typewriter...
As much as I love it I really do not have the right spot in my nest for it.  So, sadly, it too will probably end up in my booth.  While I am not keeping these treasures I did find a spot for the vintage fan I found recently...

I nestled it in the hutch in my craft room among some of my favorite treasures.  The trestle table is back in there too, all cleaned up and ready for my next project...

I am joining Kathleen over at Faded Charm for White Wednesday.  I am hoping to have new booth photos for next week!!  Keep your fingers crossed and have a wonderful day!

Your desk redo turned out great....you spent a lot of time on that so I can understand why you wanted to keep it. If it's any consolation, I'm sure it will sell very quickly!
I love the added numbers to the chair, that's a very cute idea.
Have a wonderful WW.

I love that desk and the beautiful trim on the edge. Too bad it didn't work out for you. I'm sure it will fly out of your booth. Love the chair too, great idea using the numbers. So many good ideas to store in the back of my cluttered mind;-)

Oh I hate when that happens....and all the time you are saying to yourself...This WILL work because HE thinks it won't. I hate when HE is right! That desk is adorable but, like you, I would want the extra space. Someone will snap it up in a hurry....and the chair is darling1! Hugs-Diana

I think I might have flipped one of the old doors onto the top to enlarge the workspace but still have the drawers. Why?

Because that's what I did with an old desk of mine! :D.

Happy WW!

Cool chair BTW

Ten bucks says that that adorable desk and chair will sell within the day, Sandi! They're wonderful! I've got a little vintage fan like that I picked up in Allegan this summer and it hops from room from room depending on the season! :)

The desk turned out great, but definitely looked small in the space. At least someone else can give it a good home and you have plenty of space to craft. Have a great weekend. :) Tammy

Hi Sandi! The desk turned out so cute! I totally know what you mean...I can't tell you how many adorable, super-cute desks I've gone thru, seriously! They're NEVER big enough! It always turns out that a custom made piece created from all sorts of parts ends up working the best.
PS Still lovin' those doors!
Blessings to you!
