Summer vacation officially ended Monday ~ my son started his junior year in high school yesterday. The princess has been back at college for a week and is having fun feathering her senior year nest. Looking around my nest I see that I need to do a good fall cleaning before I feather it with some fall treasures and then get cracking on my "to do" list. First things first though, I spent yesterday morning cleaning the princess suite here at home before I was off to the shop in the afternoon. The weekend sale was a huge success and while I was tidying up my little corner my husband Jim came in to measure the walls of my booth ~ and fishing season isn't even over yet!! I guess all my whin...er...sweet talk must have worked!! So I am hoping he comes home today with all the "stuff" I need to get started. I can not tell you how happy that made me ~ isn't it the little things that matter the most?!
Another good thing from his visit is that I borrowed his camera since I forgot mine. I wanted to see what I could share for White Wednesday over at Faded Charm. I spied this sweet little vignette... I think I had a Cinderella moment yesterday when my Prince Charming came in the shop! Even though he did not ride up on a white horse, (he does have a white van), or pull out a glass slipper, (just a measuring tape), he did make me smile!! We can still live happily ever after! Thank you Jim!! Happy wife ~ happy life... Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!!

Sandi,
Love your post. I had to laugh when I read the "happy wife, happy life" part, since my hubby says that all the time. He also advises my boys who are married... "ask yourself, do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?" LOL Can't wait to see the changes in store for your space. I'm sure you'll raise the bar for the rest of us!
Blessings,
Karen
I can agree with that! It IS the little things that mean the most and I love when hubby does the "little things" for me. Good luck with your booth. I really intend to get up to mine today to add some things, but have to get moving! lol
Hugs~
I totally understand how wonderful it is when your husband helps you-because it means so much to me when mine does-we're lucky aren't we!
I LOVE little vignettes, and that one is really cute! Great husband to help you out as well. Have a happy "WW"!
Take care, Sue

I'm going to need a fall cleaning too, they've been re-doing the apartment roof...a whole lotta noise and a whole lotta dust:(
Awwww, how sweet your hubby is! My hubby always says to me "When you're happy I'm happy" lol...they're so simple:)

Well Hello Miss Cinderella!
Do you have any idea where my friend Sandi is???
I'm lonesome for her and I'm sure she doesn't even remember who I am because I've been on the road having lots of fun instead of being on the computer visiting with everyone.
If by any chance you do see her soon, tell her I said hello and I hope she enjoys decorating for Fall...I can't wait to see :)
Thank you Cinderella!!!!!
;)
My husband can't even spell the word "tool" without feeling sick...he hates them all. His fave phrase is: Please, honey, call someone that knows!! LOL!! But I love him anyway!!!!
Lovely pictures...but your words said so much more. Isn't it the truth that it is the little things that make us feel loved...and sometimes the forgetting of little things that make us feel disheartened? I'm glad your guy brightened your day! Diana
Sandi, don't you love it when our fairytale lives work out for us?LOL! I love your pretty vignette. The perfect Cinderella story...even the cleaning.
hugs to you...
Every Cinderella needs her Prince Charming, yours sounds like the perfect guy!
xo,
Debra
