wonderful in white...
Aaaahhh...my favorite day of the week...Wednesday ~ and thanks to Kathleen over at Faded Charm who makes the day look wonderful in white! Today I am going to share a few projects I have been working on. First we have this old ballot or mail box... Jim brought this home when we first married and he used to use it in his garage to hold his saw blades. I brought it into the shop a few times with no luck. I decided it would look wonderful in white...I wanted to do a little something different on the inside. Okay, okay ~ I admit it, I did not want to paint the inside. I decided to use old pages from some Munsey's Magazines that I had...I used all old advertisements... I also decided to leave some of the original wood inside. Yesterday I put it back in my little corner... On to my next project. I had this in my etsy shop for a while... Very lovely ~ but while treasure hunting I would see this same print quite often. You guessed it, I thought it would look wonderful in white...It nests in my room for now. The pretty lady is still there, I just placed my favorite scrapbooking paper over it and added a wonderful french image from The Graphics Fairy... I bought this print more for the frame ~ all the wonderful scrolls and beading. I think you will agree that it looks wonderful in white! Before you go and enjoy more eye candy over at Kathleens take a moment and visit my friends Anne and Jodie who I recently sent a little token to for making me feel so welcome and special since I started my little musings here. They are both so sweet and I thank them again for their friendship!

Wonderful white projects!!
I would agree that both pieces do look wonderful in white! I love the ballot box and think the addition of the advertisements inside was perfect! The frame takes on a whole new look in white and turned on its side. I'd have a hard time parting with either piece.
Happy WW

Love all your remade goodies! I need to get busy and do some more of that too. I like how you put the paper inside the mailbox. Happy WW!
Blessings~
Awesome job with the picture frame - it's like a totally different piece.
The frame really looks good in white! Love all the detail on the edge.

What a cool box! I'm glad you left some of the original wood visible--it's got quite a lovely grain to it.
How creative! I don't know if I could have painted it white! I have an old vintage buffet from my mom that I have wanted to paint white, but then I decide to leave it in its dark espresso wood. I know it would look beautiful white...but the dark wood looks nice in our cottage too.
And the picture of the girl reading...I have...in an antique frame. A timeless piece.
Lovely transformations with your white paint, especially like the magazine ads on the inside of the old mail box!

Love this little ballot box...I always wanted one. My husband is in politics, so I would have to wrestle him if I painted it, but I LOVE what you did with it! I've painted several little frames like you did with the last one and I think they are beautiful in white! I like what you did with the inside too.
How funny, I'm working in something very similar! Love how yours turned out!!!
That looks absolutely gorgeous Sandi! I love the paper you added too:)
Happy White Wednesday!!!
Your little box looks wonderful, I am so impressed!
And thank you so much for the sweet mention at the end of your post, I think you are just terrific!
Okay...I have a suggestion to make, and it's totally unsolicited, so you can tell me to shove it or to mind my own business if you don't like it! ;-)
Your photos are SO good, they would really benefit from being made X-Large by changing to the Stretch Minima template in blogger. Just wanted to put that out there and see what you thought. :-)
Hugs,
Anne

Hi,
The cabinet and the frame are fantastic! You did a great job sprucing them up. I love that you used vintage advertisements for the inside of the box, it is truly a one-of-a-kind treasure.

I really like how that frame came out...especially with the french label!
Great projects. The frame looks fantastic in white!
Why is it that a little white paint makes everything just a bit more beautiful? :) That little cupboard looks great in the corner surrounded by so many wonderful other little treasures and the touch of old advertisements lining the inside is fabulous. Wishing you a most wonderful day. Blessings, Tammy
