pretty love seat...

In my last blog post, waaaaay back at the end of September, I mentioned I would soon be sharing something new to me.

I know it is almost the end of November.
I tend to post more often over on my Facebook page or on Instagram.
{sorry}

I plan to begin decking the halls this weekend, after Thanksgiving, so I thought I better show you the change I made in my den before the holiday decorations go up...

See the pretty love seat...

I love this fabric!  This sweet piece was in my favorite Aunt's home for as long as I can remember.  She recently moved and did not have enough room for it in her new place and gave it to me.
I can't tell you how happy this makes me...

Thank you Auntie Joan...xo!
This little change makes this my favorite room in the house right now!

Oh, and some of you may remember the makeover my den received  last year (you can see that post here) and the new chairs I bought from Target and how I just loved the look...well those chairs are on my local yard sale site and Craigslist now!

Anyone else change their mind as often as me?!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I am excited to kick off the holiday season and will {hopefully} be back soon to share some Christmas vignettes with you!

Thank you for stopping by!

den makeover reveal...finally...

This beautiful old frame finally made me get my act together and take some photos of my recently made over den...

I just love the finish ~ white, grey, a hint of pale blue with some dark wax imperfectly applied...

It's been leaning here and there in the room waiting for me to decide if I wanted to keep it or bring it in the shop.
I'm so glad I kept it...

Of course it would work in one of my favorite spots in my home...

Don't they say that if you buy what you love, the pieces will work together?

I love the way all my vintage whites pop against my grey walls now...

There are still a few things left to do (like paint the front of the keyboard drawer on the desk) and I would like to find something to hang over the desk (like a really cool vintage sign)...

Oh and do something with all those computer wires!  Jim used the last of the salvage wood he found by the side of the road and made a "door" to lean in the corner to help with that.  I would like to put something on the floor in front of it (any suggestions?) and I am thinking about hanging my favorite vintage mirror that started my mirror collection on it...

I love that Jim repurposed the desk with salvage wood and I also love the old desk chair I found junkin' this summer down in Plymouth...

The other side of the room holds the biggest changes in the room.  I changed out the mantel mirror for an old beauty I had been coveting at the shop for a while...

I also changed out the love seat I had there with two chairs from Target as well as new pillows from Pier One...

I am still using my Mom's table that I shared with you in a sneak peek last month...

Here is the room looking in from the living room...

I am very happy with the way the room turned out!

I am in the home stretch of getting ready for the Wrentham Country Store's annual Vintage Fall Market Weekend so I promise to share the living room reveal after the show.
And, you know I'll do a post or two on the show itself!
For now, here is a little peek into the living room...

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

shelf in my den...

Taking a little break from painting old treasures for the white show to share with you the farmhouse shelf in my den and how I styled it after the holidays.

I kept it simple...

Jim and I are going to the shop later to freshen up the walls in my space with a new coat of paint...in my favorite white for walls...Swiss Coffee.
He is always so helpful and supportive of my business!

I hope to have a different look in my space for our At Home With White Show.
Painting the walls is just the first step!
Sorry Jim.

I think I will go check in with the girls over at

and

to see what everyone else is sharing today.

Thanks for stopping by!

happy june...

Remember the wonderful old tin piece that I found when I went treasure hunting with my girlfriends...

I sold the fruit picker and the bed!

It never made it to the shop ~ I put it in the den...

I put my cute little book bundle on the shelf with it...

I think a tattered bundle or two might look good on the other end.
I love it...

I am joining these lovely ladies today...

and

Thank you ladies!

It looks like a rainy Saturday this weekend.
What is a camper to do in the rain ~ go shopping of course!
I need to start shopping for Jake's graduation party next weekend as well as hitting the antique shops downtown.
I am hoping to find some new treasures to fluff my booth with for the new month.
Happy June!
I have a busy week ahead with Jake's senior prom, senior banquet night and he graduates next Friday with a party to follow on Saturday.
Between all that and booth fluffing, I don't know how much blogging I will be doing.
At least I might be too busy to get too teary eyed.
Ya, right.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

perfect fit...

Back in February I showed you my little den makeover.
While I am very happy with how the room turned out this wall just needed a little something...
I originally had thoughts of mixing some architectural salvage with vintage mirrors.
I finally bit the bullet and committed to a new look.
I started by switching the trumeau style mirror with the old 6 pane window that I already had behind the printer...

I like it much better.
Then I replaced the window behind the printer with another old chippy one I already had that has a few panes with a greenish tint to them...
I bought some old shutters at the shop a few weeks ago and decided to use one as a shelf over the desk...
What do you think...

As you can see I used a few of the treasures I found over the weekend to dress it up...

I thought the old oil can looked great with some of my Mom's old pitchers...

I kept the wooden advertising piece and put one of my vintage flower frogs in front of it...
I need to find the perfect little something to stick in it.

I put the wonderful old tin next to a vintage clam rake I bought at the shop...
I love it and think it fits perfectly in the room...
Now I just need to find the perfect chandelier...
Those spots are in the mirror not on my ceiling!

Thank you for visiting today!
I am joining Kathleen for White Wednesday today over at Faded Charm.  Next Wednesday I am hoping to head to Brimfield.  Anyone else going?
