Sonia has just published the latest issue of

Sonia had so much to share this holiday season that she published a little Extra for everyone to enjoy!
I have contributed an article this year that appears in the extra issue that is also available in print or is or free digitally!

Thank you so much Sonia for the opportunity and including me in such a lovely publication!

vintage peacock...

Is December going by way too fast for anyone else?
Am I the only one who has not started Christmas Shopping yet?
I am that person who makes lists, checks them twice and is usually just about ready to wrap it all up by now.

This year I have been extra busy as I took another space in a multi-dealer shop in Norwood, MA called
The Vintage Peacock.
Owned by Maureen and Peter, two vendors who I worked with at the Wrentham Country Store, this wonderful shop is the result of a revitalization of an old mill that is now full of life through a collection of shops like The Vintage Peacock selling antiques as well as vintage and repurposed items.
The Winsmith Mill Market is a great way to spend the day treasure hunting as there is also a small cafe, a shop that carries Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, home to the Norwood Art Association as well as the very popular monthly market, Vintage Thymes.

After the holidays I am looking forward to spending more time getting to know the other vendors and their shops and will be sharing their spaces here with you!

My space at The Vintage Peacock is a smaller space than I have ever had but I love the challenge of it!
Here is a little peek...

The Vintage Peacock, located inside the Winsmith Mill Market, is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 - 4, and on Sunday from 12 - 4.
A trip to "the mill" should be on your road trip list for the new year!
You can follow them on Facebook here.

This past weekend we said goodbye to Jim's grandmother.
Nana was 96 and this beautiful lady was one of the most loving, caring, strong and funny women I have ever met.
A true inspiration.
Her stories that she shared from her home in New Foundland and the life she lived here, raising her family of 5 will forever be in our hearts.
Thank you Nana, your love and devotion to your family made us all feel very special.

My favorite photo of my children and their Great Nana, Christmas 2012.

vintage holiday open house 2014...

Popping in today to share some scenes from our
Vintage Holiday Open House
at the Wrentham Country Store last weekend...

All the Shop Girls did a wonderful job decking the halls and the weekend was busy and lots of fun!
We also held A Special Evening at the Wrentham Country Store this past Thursday.  The shop was full of customers enjoying wine and appetizers with arms full of vintage treasures and holiday trinkets!  I hope this is one of many special evenings in the future!
Thank you to all who shopped both our events!

I know I am a bit late sharing photos from our Open House but I've been a little busy.
I started a small makeover of my kitchen right before Thanksgiving and am trying to finish it up before a Christmas Party I am hosting next weekend.
Also, I was busy setting up as a vendor in a second shop!
It is a multi dealer shop called The Vintage Peacock located inside the Winsmith Mill Market in Norwood, MA.
You can check out their Facebook pages here and here.

I'll be back next week (promise) to share some photos of my new space!

Thanks for stopping by!

road trip...

I recently took a junkin' road trip with my friend Karen who is also a vendor at the shop.
In between all the laughs, I managed to take some photos of some wonderful shops.

Our first stop was Counting Sheep Antiques.
Sorry I didn't take an outside photo...I was just so mesmerized by the charm of this old barn and it continued as I walked through the door...

This beautiful old sign caught my eye...I would love to put it in my den over our computer!

This booth had lots of industrial treasures...

I loved all the warm, worn wood tones in this space...

I also loved this french inspired booth and the sweet blue table...

My friend Gayle also has a beautiful space here.  I took the oval frame home with me...

Our next stop was The Vintage Retriever, look how cute their store front is...

This shop has a perfect blend of wholesale items mixed in with vintage treasures...

I know...you love the old map too!  I didn't take that home but I did take home one of the old auction paddles, #22 for the day Jim and I got married!

I really wanted to take this old demi john home...it was the perfect shade of imperfect grey...

I also loved the sign behind the checkout counter, done by the owner...

The attention to detail was amazing here and I love how she painted the old floors...

Our last stop was Crompton Collective.  The have a cool space full of vintage clothing.  I loved their sign...

Oh, and another piece I just loved that would be a perfect desk in my studio...

I sure hope Jim reads this post...soon.

They had lots of old industrial pieces that I seem to gravitate toward lately...

Have you taken any junkin' road trips lately?

Thank you Karen for a fun day and thank you for stopping by!
