shabby apple...

September has been a pretty busy month so far for me.
I moved into a new, bigger space at the shop.
I moved my baby son into college.
I started working on some projects around the house, taking Saturdays and Sundays off to enjoy the last few weekends of my camping season.
And, last but not least I will be celebrating my daughter's 23rd birthday on the 24th.
Whew!!

I think I should throw in a giveaway...what do you think?!
Katie from Shabby Apple contacted me and is offering my readers a chance to win a $50 gift certificate!!

my new space and an old mirror...

I moved into my new space at the shop a few weeks ago.
Thank you Jim ~ I could not have done it with you!

The lighting was not the best every time I took photos but I have waited long enough to share.

Before...

After...

Here are some close ups...

I tried to talk Jim into keeping the old mill cart for a coffee table.
It was a big NO.

You might remember the sewing machine base table from my
Paris Hotel Suite.
I will share next week what I replaced it with.

I sold quite a few things out of this corner and have been gathering more treasures to fill it in.
I picked up this old contemporary looking mirror, maybe from the 70s...

I almost forgot to take a before photo!
Jim added an applique for me.
Ssshhh ~ it's a little crooked...

I think it looks much better now...

And as for the crooked applique...

My lettering came out crooked too, so I guess it evens out...

What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today to take a peek in my new space at the Wrentham Country Store.
There have been quite a few changes lately with some of us shop girls changing spaces as well as two new dealers joining us as well.
Hoping to see some of you soon ~ the shop is definitely worth a road trip!

I am joining Debra as she celebrates her second anniversary of hosting Vintage Inspiration Friday!
Congrats Debra and thank you for hosting each week!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

number 3...

Happy September!
Thank you all for checking in to see how both my moves went!
I am quite settled in my new space at the shop and will be sharing some pictures real soon.

We also moved Jake into his dorm this past Sunday morning.
It took 35 minutes.
It took us at least 2 hours to move his sister in years ago!

He is having a great time!
As for me ~ I am doing pretty good.
Most of the time.
I am keeping busy doing lots of projects for my booth and doing a bit of fluffing at home.

I don't think I ever showed you my Ramsign enamel sign I won in a giveaway from Faye a while ago...

Thanks again Faye!!

I live at #3 on my street but it is reminding me that there are only 3 of us at home right now  :(  .
See, I told you, most of the time.

Thank you for stopping by!
I guess I will go cheer myself up and be inspired over at Kathleen's White Wednesday!

see you in september...

Jim had some time off last week and we just got home from a wonderful week at the campground.  We enjoyed beautiful weather and had a lot of fun with our friends.
Thanks everyone for a great week!!

I am in the middle of making some more tags for all the treasures going to my new space.
The move starts tonight after the store closes.
I am so excited!

I have a very busy week ahead.
I know after moving into my new space there will be a lot of fluffing and re~fluffing until it is just right.
I also have some last minute college shopping to do for Jake and we have to pack it all up as he moves in next weekend.
So, I think I will take a little blog break.
I hope you all enjoy the last week of summer and have a fun Labor Day Weekend!

See you ~ in September!
