reflections...

We closed up our trailer last weekend for the season.
I took a break on Saturday and sat by the lake for a while.
I just sat there reflecting on the season and how it went by so quickly ...

It was a lot of work and for some reason this old girl is just exhausted this week.

I did a bit of cleaning around here today and got to thinking about how this past year has gone by so quick too.
Thought I would share some reflections through my newly cleaned old mirrors...

This old girl turned another year older yesterday...

I will be honest and say this was a tough one for me.
The one before a big one always is.
Seeing this last night though made my day a little better.
Thanks Jac...love you!

Thanks for stopping by!

my new space and an old mirror...

I moved into my new space at the shop a few weeks ago.
Thank you Jim ~ I could not have done it with you!

The lighting was not the best every time I took photos but I have waited long enough to share.

Before...

After...

Here are some close ups...

I tried to talk Jim into keeping the old mill cart for a coffee table.
It was a big NO.

You might remember the sewing machine base table from my
Paris Hotel Suite.
I will share next week what I replaced it with.

I sold quite a few things out of this corner and have been gathering more treasures to fill it in.
I picked up this old contemporary looking mirror, maybe from the 70s...

I almost forgot to take a before photo!
Jim added an applique for me.
Ssshhh ~ it's a little crooked...

I think it looks much better now...

And as for the crooked applique...

My lettering came out crooked too, so I guess it evens out...

What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today to take a peek in my new space at the Wrentham Country Store.
There have been quite a few changes lately with some of us shop girls changing spaces as well as two new dealers joining us as well.
Hoping to see some of you soon ~ the shop is definitely worth a road trip!

I am joining Debra as she celebrates her second anniversary of hosting Vintage Inspiration Friday!
Congrats Debra and thank you for hosting each week!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

joy...

I received the most beautiful package in the mail this past weekend.  I recently won a giveaway from Rebecca...

I have always wanted a handmade necklace...

Isn't it just lovely...

I took a few photos of it displayed on my whimsical cottage lampshade but knew where it should nest (when it is not around my neck)...

This is the gorgeous mirror I traded for with Maureen at the white show.  I knew it would be just perfect in my Paris Hotel Suite.
(Remember I put the old mirror that was here in my studio?)

I have my Grandmother's rosary hanging on an old column next to the mirror in the corner near my dresser and knew how perfect my necklace from Rebecca would look with it...

Don't you just love the detail on the mirror...

Alongside the perfectly chippy column...

Both new treasures bringing more "joy" to my suite...

I have yet to paint this dresser and mirror white (which were both my Moms).  I do have another one of her dressers in my suite too and wonder if I should switch them as the old mirror matches the darker wood on this one better...

Do I paint everything?  Do I switch the dressers?
I am still on the fence I guess.

So for now I will just enjoy my new suite additions...

Thank you Rebecca!

Thank you  Maureen!

Sharing my joy with Kathleen for White Wednesday.
Thank you for visiting!
