Another good thing from his visit is that I borrowed his camera since I forgot mine. I wanted to see what I could share for White Wednesday over at Faded Charm. I spied this sweet little vignette...

cinderella moment...
Summer vacation officially ended Monday ~ my son started his junior year in high school yesterday. The princess has been back at college for a week and is having fun feathering her senior year nest. Looking around my nest I see that I need to do a good fall cleaning before I feather it with some fall treasures and then get cracking on my "to do" list. First things first though, I spent yesterday morning cleaning the princess suite here at home before I was off to the shop in the afternoon. The weekend sale was a huge success and while I was tidying up my little corner my husband Jim came in to measure the walls of my booth ~ and fishing season isn't even over yet!! I guess all my whin...er...sweet talk must have worked!! So I am hoping he comes home today with all the "stuff" I need to get started. I can not tell you how happy that made me ~ isn't it the little things that matter the most?!

I think I had a Cinderella moment yesterday when my Prince Charming came in the shop! Even though he did not ride up on a white horse, (he does have a white van), or pull out a glass slipper, (just a measuring tape), he did make me smile!! We can still live happily ever after! Thank you Jim!! Happy wife ~ happy life...
Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!!

not just another book post...
I know, you are probably thinking not another book post but I just can't help it! While working at the shop yesterday I spied this little beauty...
I knew it would be perfect for this spot in my craft room...
Perfect fit for my fall vignette...
Jim gave this to me the other day and I knew it would be perfect here too...
He thought I would just use it for the obvious...
He was right ~ my little bird needed a new nest! My room has become a disaster this summer but these two new treasures made me tidy up a bit...
Although I did clear a spot on my table to make these sweet little packages (thanks Sandi for the idea!)...
I made them for my booth...
I put them with my decoupaged dress forms in my little suitcase display...
I still have the ones I got from Sandi in Vivienne's bath tub (he he)...
That is an old photo ~ I sold that little wall hanging in my Etsy shop. I miss it there so I need to make a new one. I thought I would also show you a few things at the shop that are on my wish list...
I love this little shelf made from old sewing machine drawers. It would be great in my craft room for storage or to display some inspiration pieces. I love this old glass cabinet too...
I am thinking that it would make a great display case for my booth after it's makeover which I hope is before the holiday season! Well, it is still raining here so I am off to Faded Charm where Linda is hosting White Wednesday ~ she always brightens my day!! Happy White Wednesday to you and thanks for for visiting!!

reflections...
Thank you all for the lovely comments yesterday about my Mom's treasures that I feather my deck with. And while Jim wants to take them and have them sand blasted and repaint them (fresh as new says he) for me ~ I am going to give them a few coats of protective spray and enjoy them as is, and not just as eye candy!
Although the shop was quite busy the other day I did manage to take some photos of a few wonderful old mirrors that the shop girls have in their booths. I will start in my little corner. Hope you enjoy these reflections...
Now take your time and browse around the shop...

Hope you aren't tired of browsing yet ~ there are more nooks and crannies in these reflections...
Just a few more...
Did you see anything you liked? I thought a little post like this might help in holding you over until you can go treasure hunting over the weekend. Oh and by the way, if you have time today stop by my fellow shop girl Karen's new blog ~ A Shabby Moment In Time . She is off to quite a lovely start ~ I know you will be sighing and picking your jaw up off the floor! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by and taking a little mirror tour around the shop ~ I hope you enjoyed their reflections!

wonderful in white...
Aaaahhh...my favorite day of the week...Wednesday ~ and thanks to Kathleen over at Faded Charm who makes the day look wonderful in white! Today I am going to share a few projects I have been working on. First we have this old ballot or mail box...
Jim brought this home when we first married and he used to use it in his garage to hold his saw blades. I brought it into the shop a few times with no luck. I decided it would look wonderful in white...
I wanted to do a little something different on the inside. Okay, okay ~ I admit it, I did not want to paint the inside. I decided to use old pages from some Munsey's Magazines that I had...
I used all old advertisements...

I also decided to leave some of the original wood inside. Yesterday I put it back in my little corner...
On to my next project. I had this in my etsy shop for a while...
Very lovely ~ but while treasure hunting I would see this same print quite often. You guessed it, I thought it would look wonderful in white...
It nests in my room for now. The pretty lady is still there, I just placed my favorite scrapbooking paper over it and added a wonderful french image from The Graphics Fairy...
I bought this print more for the frame ~ all the wonderful scrolls and beading. I think you will agree that it looks wonderful in white! Before you go and enjoy more eye candy over at Kathleens take a moment and visit my friends Anne and Jodie who I recently sent a little token to for making me feel so welcome and special since I started my little musings here. They are both so sweet and I thank them again for their friendship!
