four adults...

Today brings a new change to my family.
There are four adults living here now.
That box that drops down with children's ages up to 17 is no longer an option when filling out paperwork for me.
Where does the time go?

Happy 18th Birthday Jake!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

another keeper...

Remember this old mirror I found in May when I went to Brimfield...
I knew it would eventually get a dreamy coat of white.  Look at the wonderful detail...

It finally got a few coats of white.
It was destined for my booth.
It looks great in my Paris Hotel Suite...
Now I love the one that was there...
And it's reflections...
I just think the mantel mirror fits the space better...

Same pretty reflections...
Oh and don't you think the details look even more beautiful in white...
The more photos I take the more I love it there...
I have a new project on the idea board in my head and the old mirror would be perfect for it.
I guess the new mirror is another keeper.

First the silver tray chalkboard.
Now the mantel mirror.
Boy am I in trouble!

Linking up with Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday!

Happy 17th Birthday Jake!

Have a great day ~ love you!

happy sixteenth birthday Jake...

Sixteen years ago today we were on our way to the hospital to have our second child.

Another girl the doctor said.

On the radio was the story of a local firefighter who lost his life doing his job. "He was a Good Jake" the newscaster said. Jim and I already had our names picked out ~ it was going to be Jake if it was a boy. Right then and there I knew the doctor was wrong and I was having a boy...my Jake.
So cute and sweet with a little wild side in him too...
He is still cute and sweet as well as kind and caring, respectful and loving. He is always there when I need him and he makes me proud every day...

Happy Sixteenth Birthday Jake...Love Mom!!

If you would like to know where the term "Good Jake" came from take a peek here.
