getting ready for the market...

What a busy week I have had getting ready for the Vintage Fall Market Weekend at our shop.

I am hoping to talk Jim into heading to the shop tonight to give my space a little makeover.  I already put my new sign up fromPaula...

Thank you Paula!!!

I have some burlap I want draped up and over the sign and I also want Jim to hang these crates up...

I have been having fun playing with different vignettes inside them and have decided to give them a farmhouse look.  I made over a few old baskets with the help from Laurie's post...

Thank you Laurie!!

I have some treasures in my booth already to make some vignettes but for now I used my Flora Dora to help fill in the space for these pictures...

Love my Flora Doora...thanks Jane!!

I added one of The Graphic Fairy's images to the side of the crate...

Unfortunately I rubbed a bit too hard...

Thanks Karen!

But I still like it!

Hoping to join everyone at  Farmhouse Friday ~ thank you for hosting LaurieAnna!  I say "hoping" because I have been having a few problems with blogger...has anyone else?

Thank you all for stopping by today...enjoy your weekend!

white wednesday in my kitchen...

Good Morning! Kathleen over at Faded Charm is hosting White Wednesday and today I thought I would show you a few whites from my kitchen... This crown canister is from Homegoods and the plate was my Mom's. Look at the wonderful detail in the plate... Do any of you shop at Pier One? I think the store has changed so much over the years but every once in a while I pop in. I found these last summer... My Mom had quite a collection of roosters in her kitchen. I kept a few which I have in my downstairs kitchen. I occasionally bring this one up... He sits next to my recipe box... Old McCoy pottery... Cute little drawer pull... The flowers from my weekend party are still looking beautiful...
Thank you Kathleen for hosting today! Before you go and check out all the other dreamy whites take a moment and visit Paula over at Castle and Cottage ~ she is having a giveaway!! I will be keeping my fingers crossed ~ although I did buy one of Paula's signs for my kitchen... Well, thank you all for stopping by for White Wednesday in my kitchen!
