You take the table top off and turn this...

into this...

I enlarged this wonderful image from The Graphics Fairy and traced it out.  However, this time I actually free handed the detail...

When I saw the sign Jill shared with us last week here at French Inspiration Thursday I was truly inspired.

petite oiseau...

I am joining Jill from Gypsy Brocante over at The French Cupboard for French Inspiration Thursday today.

My friend Mary Ellen gave me this beautiful tiered tray for my birthday...

It looks like an old french zinc piece to me and is topped with a  little bird (or petite oiseau as my friend Michelle would say)...

I love the sweet little cowgal tag she attached to it...

It is perfect to hold all my price tags and business cards...

I bought the old match boxes from the shop...

I found a new mercury glass like bowl to hold my scissors, pens and pencils at Marshalls over the summer and love how it looks next to it...

The tray fits perfectly in the corner of my desk in my studio...

My desk has not looked this clean in a while!

We are going treasure hunting together tomorrow...can't wait!

celebrating...

Thank you all for stopping in and leaving such great comments on my hurricane (studio) clean up...hee hee!

Having a clean place to work in is worth celebrating ~ I did so by starting to get ready for the fall show we are having at the shop.

I am off to a good start but I have a long way to go!

I would also like to say a big Congratulations to Mary Ellen, the owner of the WCS...I know you are doing the happy dance tonight (even if it is in the dark)!  Also big Congrats go to my fellow shop girls for always keeping the store a fun and interesting place for customers to shop at!

I know we will be doing a little celebrating at the shop...once the lights go back on!!

more finds from the flea...

I have some more finds from the flea market to share with you today.

Just as Jim and I got out of the car I saw a woman walking away with an old white shutter with a fleur-de-lis cut out.

My heart sank.

It did not occur to me at that moment that shutters come in pairs...

Can you believe she only bought one...

This was actually my last purchase of the day ~ I was a lucky girl!

I also found this great old white frame...

They are pieces from vintage lamps by Munzerlite.

Aren't they lovely...

They will needs names ~ french names, of course.

I hope Vivienne doesn't get jealous.

it's about time...

It's about time...

When I hit 400 followers I promised a giveaway...

As time passed I published my 100th post and thought I really want to do a giveaway...

I wanted to give away something different...

I found this gorgeous french inspired clock a few weeks ago while treasure hunting.  It was brown with a hint of bronze.  To lighten it up I gave it a coat of the new gray paint I am in love with.  After one coat it took on a beautiful blue~gray coloring and I thought to myself...Voila!  This beautiful clock will be perfect for my giveaway...

Of course I will add a few little surprises too!
