valentine boxes...

Thank goodness it is Monday!  I bet you do not hear that too often! I am happy this morning because, as I type, Jim is on his way home!!  His flight touches down at 8:10 so before I go pick him up I thought I would join Karen over at the Graphics Fairy for her Brag Monday party.  Last week I started making a few things for Valentine's Day for my booth.  I started with these plain boxes...
And turned them into these pretty Valentine boxes...
Sweet and petite...

I kept it simple ~ even leaving some of the old cigar box showing on this slide top box.  I thought it might be nice to store the "keeper" Valentine cards...

I love this french inspired post card and used it quite often...
I think this is my favorite...

I usually keep my favorite.  Which will work out good this time since I glued this one shut!!  Oh well.  I had fun making them so I kept going.  This box was the one I originally intended to keep...
It is a vintage chocolate box from New Orleans.  I just loved the size but the smaller glued shut one will be mine.  I have always loved this image that Karen offers...
Isn't it sweet...
So happy my Valentine will be home soon!  I want to say thank you for stopping by today to my wonderful followers (and any visitors) and to my new followers ~ Welcome!  I can not believe I am over the 300 mark for followers!  It is very humbling and exciting at the same time.  My one year Blog Anniversary is coming up on February 10th.  To celebrate I am starting to think about a giveaway.  Something different this time, just not sure what yet!  I hope you all have a wonderful week!

  3. Those are beautiful Sandi! You did a wonderful job! Maybe you can somehow unglue the one you glued shut with a sharp knife or Xacto (SP?) blade. I need to work on a box to hide the 10 million remotes we now have:) Happy Monday!
