the cheerful cherub...

I have two new treasures that I think will be the beginning of a lovely holiday vignette for my nest. I scored this little cherub mirror on Etsy...

Then my friend found me this sweet book (thank you Martha!)...

I must admit that I just put the two together on a shelf in my craft room saving it for a White Wednesday post then creating a vignette around it for the holidays. I actually opened the book today and it is full of the sweetest little poems! The author, Rebecca McCann used her little musings and illustrations to land her first job at The Chicago Evening Post. The book is a first edition from 1927 and is in wonderful condition. While the poems are short and sweet they make you stop and think... Reading through was a great reminder to stop and enjoy life's simple pleasures... This little book is my new favorite find right now! There are so many more wonderful pages to brighten a day or lighten a load. Do not be surprised if I add a few here and there on future posts. I am sharing this today for White Wednesday over at Faded Charm. Thanks for hosting Kathleen and thank you all for visiting. Here is one more, just for you...
