winter warmth...

Good Morning!  I just want to say thank you for all the get well wishes, it was just what the doctor ordered ~ I am feeling much better!  Though this nasty weather we had yesterday and will have today too makes you feel lousy.  My daughter called me from school yesterday (45 minutes away) and said there was snow on the ground!!!  Way too early for me.  Since the colder weather has settled in I dug out my fall~winter comforter for my bed in my Paris Hotel Suite.  I bought it at Pottery Barn a few years ago when it went on sale at the end of the season.  I am not quite sure I still love it though.  Here is a little reminder of my spring~summer look...

And now with it's winter warmth...

I think PB still has a bird theme this year too...

I would love to get a new comforter but I am trying to remember my rule.  Besides, I like the way it warms up the room...

And for just under $50 for a queen duvet and 2 shams from Pottery Barn, I think it is worth showing off at Linda's Nifty Thrifty Tuesday!  She is having a giveaway too!!  Well, thanks for stopping by today.  Jim put the last wall up in my booth last night!!  I am going in tomorrow morning to deck the halls for our Vintage Holiday Sale we are having this weekend.  Come back on Thursday to see how it came out!!

As for your "winter room," it all looks so warm and cozy but it is so very hard to say goodbye to all that light, airy white, han? Alas...we do live in the 4 seasons and so we adjust. everything you do always looks beautiful. no worries mon amie!

  6. Sandi, I had no idea you were ill, but glad you're better. What a pretty bed, in all it's white Paris Glory too. The winter Pottery Barn comforter is soo very beautiful. I am big on birds and it looks stunning. I also use the white matalasse and a comforter on one of my beds, what I do is roll/fold the comforter with all the colors down toward the foot of the bed, sort of at the ready to be pulled up on a cold night.

  7. Glad you are feeling better. Maybe what you need on top of the comforter is a small touch of white... maybe a folded throw at the bottom? Just an idea... it's pretty and the colors are warmer for the season!

  13. I'm glad you are feeling better! Snow?! I am so jealous!! It has snowed here the past 2 years and I hope so badly that it does this year for Mason to see.

Love the duvet - that's a great deal from PB. Even if I was a bazillionaire I couldn't bring myself to pay those prices!
