pretty in pink...

I've added a few more items to my Etsy shop today including this precious little one...

I found this fabulous vintage swivel frame while treasure hunting and this little one, who looks so pretty in pink is courtesy of The Graphics Fairy...thank you Karen!

I glittered the feather on her hat as well as her collar and added a pink jewel to the button on her coat. A bit of vintage pink ric rac and a paper flower with words of love in many languages and it's ready for my Etsy shop and Show and Tell Friday hosted by Cindy at My Romantic Home.

Love this sweet victorian little girl so pretty in pink!! What do you think her name should be?

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

sweet vintage books...

Remember this sweet vintage book and how it brought me these lovely flowers?

Well, lately I have been enamoured by sweet vintage books. I love their beautiful covers and illustrations inside, full of delicate, yet aged to perfection pages.

I purchased "Tattine" at the shop where I have a booth not too long ago. I couldn't resist the sweet little one on the cover. It was a gift to Mildred from the superintendent of her school for doing her homework back in 1912!

The postcard was in a batch I picked up when my Valentine took me treasure hunting on Sunday. So precious!!!

How adorable are these two Mizpah books...love the sweet angels!

"The Silver Buckle"...how could I pass this one up with such wonderful shabby colors!!

I have them nestled in among my supplies in my craft room hutch. My hutch looks neat at the moment...I need to clean up the rest of the room before I share it with you!

Couldn't resist "Songs of Seven" either...I put this one in the shop.

Here are some other treasures I got while browsing with my Valentine...some lovely hatboxes for the shop...

and a vintage cigarette case which I think I might keep to hold my very first business cards I just had made up! Mary Ellen, the owner of my shop (and a cherished new friend) gave me the idea. I'm thinking I might paint it white and distress it which will make the detail show up more, what do you think?

I had every intention of bringing my camera to the shop when I freshened my booth up after our big Valentine sale but I forgot it!! I'll try and remember next week.

Are you in love with sweet vintage books too?

who's the fairest...

Mirror, mirror on the wall...

Ok, one thing you must know about me is that I love vintage mirrors and have collected more than a couple over the last few years. I think the wonderful frames was what first caught my attention. All that fabulous detail, lots of chipping adding wonderful shabby charm with probably the most romantic tales hidden in each one's reflection.

Hanging one of these vintage white pretties is sometimes easier for me than selecting a picture. they reflect the light and sometimes each other!

I think the fairest one of all has to be the one that started my collection.

Sweet and petite it sits on my mantel where I can enjoy it all the time. Also, I usually use it as a backdrop when I take photos of treasures for my etsy shop.

Again, it's been fun to join Faded Charm for my favorite day, White Wednesday because I'm always dreaming in vintage whites!

treasure filled weekend...

If you take a peek back a few posts you'll see that I kept leaving this sweet vintage book here and there hoping he'd get the hint.

Well ~ he did!! Thank you honey! When I got home from the shop there was a vase full of lovely cut flowers and a yummy box of chocolates!!

The shop I have a space in is at the Wrentham Country Store. We had a Valentine weekend sale and I treated myself to a few pieces I have been admiring like this little rose adorned Bavarian sugar bowl...it has lost it's cover but it is still as sweet! It's just perfect to hold some music scraps for a future project in my craft room hutch.

This beautiful milk glass pitcher with hand painted roses is just perfect for the top of my little medicine cabinet in my cottage style bathroom.

I also finally decided to get this fabulous vintage photo album. Love the cherub on the front!

Great metal scrolly clasp and corners too...

Most of the inside pages are in good condition and there are a few photos inside as well. This sweet girl was on the first page...
I think I'll display this for a bit then put it in my etsy shop. My Valentine and I also went antiquing yesterday. I'll share those finds real soon.

The surprises from my Valentine as well as the pretties I got for myself made for a wonderful treasure filled weekend! Hope you enjoyed yours too!!
