glamping, vintage style...

It has been a very long Winter.
It is almost May 1st, and we really have not seen much of Spring at all.
Today is another grey day and I do not think we will see the sun until Friday (keep your fingers crossed please).
Despite all this I am in a good mood.
You could say I am one happy camper as our camping season starts Thursday!

I am really a Happy Glamper.
While I absolutely love my new trailer (you can see it here), on my wish list is still a sweet old vintage trailer that has been renovated and prettied up like one of these that I have found on Pinterest...

  2. I would love any one of these amazing campers. They're all so cozy and simply gorgeous! Hope you get some much needed sun this week. We had rain this past weekend, but the sun is out and shining today with temps in the 90s later this week.

  4. Ohhhhh Sandi it is my dream to have a glamper some day too. Terry and I have been looking but have not found one just yet. I feel someday I will. I have a glamper file on my pinterest too. I am going to check yours out too. It is raining all week here in Chicago too. Ughhh! I guess it is better than snow! Have a great week.

  5. These are so gorgeous, Sandi!

We lived in a vintage trailer while building our cottage, but it didn't look anything like these. At least we have a ton of funny stories to laugh over from the experience! ;)

    Hope the weather clears up!

  7. I love the old vintage camper make overs! They are so awesome! Glamping is so much fun. I did an old camper of ours before it was a fad. Sadly sold it years ago when I went down and didn't think I would ever be able to go again...might have to look for another older one!
    Have a great day!

  10. Sandi,

I am so happy to say in Philadelphia we have been enjoying days in the upper 70's and viewing budding Spring green growth renewing our long awaited hope of Spring. Although this week is a rainy forecast.

I dare to say, with so many who adore being a glamper I have never experienced it. Not saying it isn't a blast and total enjoyment ... Just have never experienced camping and seeing what you and Kerrie love style wise definitely glamping needs to go on my list.

I've been the girl who always seeks out historic B&B's in the North East of our country to experience a weekend of adventure, good wine, fine dining, strolling to take in the sites and appreciating the charm of each B&B.

John and I have even flown to places in the south to experience B&B's. I'm thinking I have missed out in many ways of this entire camping experience. Live and learn :-)

Between this post and posts of Kerrie with her "Pearl" I am feeling I've missed out on "Glamping" the countryside.

Enjoy your adventure and please post on it.
    XO,
    Vera

  12. Sandi,
While I am thrilled for your camping season to begin, dear friend. . .I'm also a bit saddened. You see, once this Season begins for you. . .I miss your blog post terribly.
I do have a solution to help me "bide my time" until you return. I plan to re~visit your archives while you "glamping away".
Do enjoy yourselves!!! I'll keep telling myself. . .it's only for a Season!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  13. Those are all so interesting, I was down in Atlanta once for the Country Living Fair and there was a display of several vintage travel trailers and one that stood out was all decorated with all Lady Bugs it was so cute, I would want a Shabby Chic one for sure

  15. ADORABLE. I think I would love that white one, too, and the last one with the banners is too cute. I can't believe there's hardwood floors in these.
Can't wait to see more of yours this year!

  20. Not only is the sun out where I live, it was 99 degrees today :( My late husband and I (and our kids) used to go camping all the time, had a great vintage trailer, now I wish we hadn't sold it :) Happy Camp trip to you! Blessings, Cindy

  21. Today was the day I finally took the time to sit down and catch up on my favorite blogs....you of course being top on my list. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one and realized how much I've been missing. I hope you are well and enjoying the awakening of Spring! ~ Diane

  22. I love the old vintage trailers too but when it comes to pulling, they are kind of heavy and not nearly as convenient as the beautiful one you have. I think it would be great fun to have one...as a play house?? Can I say that as an adult? I would call it a studio though!
