holiday housewalk 2013...

As the snow gently falls here in New England, I thought it was the perfect time to share my home all decked out for the holidays with you as well as joining in on Jennifer Rizzo's Holiday House Walk Linky Party! 


With so many projects still going on around here I kept my decorating simple.

When you walk through my front door, my advent calendar greets you at the top of the stairs...




I tucked glittered white pine cones from Michaels into my little tree and topped it with a vintage french book, one of my favorite gifts from last year...




Can you see my mantel in the mirror, I love how it came out this year!


I did buy some new picks at the shop this year.  They are flocked and have a touch of sparkle...






It looks so pretty all lit up too...


I tried to keep everything in white, silver, gold and pale green...











One of my favorite vignettes this year is the shelf over our computer...




I challenged myself this year to use what I had in different ways...



My master bedroom is still in the midst of a makeover, but here is a little peek...



Here is a little peek in my kitchen as well...



I love Jim's childhood stocking in the corner that his Mom knitted!

    It all looks so warm and inviting, Sandi, from the welcome Advent calendar as you enter, to the adorable knitted stocking from Jim's childhood. You've combined personal treasures with vintage items and beautiful soft, sparkly colors. I adore your little cottage houses, too. And the picks look fabulous on your gorgeous mantel!
