If you follow me on Pinterest, you might have seen my "Mannequin Love" board.
I just love vintage mannequins and when I come across one that I especially love, I pin it and name her in honor of the blog where it originated from.
To share a few with you, there is Rene...
Michelle...
Michelle...
and last but not least, Tot's girls...
I have one that I would like to give a makeover to.
Maybe I will decoupage it and dress it up to look like Melanie...
Or maybe paint it black and give it a french look like Yanet (from 3 Sun Kissed Boys when she guest posted for Suzanne over at Meridian Road)...
I just know that this old lady needs a makeover...
Come to think of it, I would love a makeover too!!
I will probably just paint her white and save her for the At Home With White Show at the shop.
Speaking of the shop and mannequins, look at this unique one Mary Ellen just found...
It is original, not painted!
Visit my Mannequin Love Pinterest board to see the rest of the girls.
Thanks for visiting...have a wonderful week!!
Oh Sandi,
ReplyDeleteYour speaking my language!!
I am so in love with vintage dress forms!! I want to add to my collection, but hubby thinks that 3 is enough, he might need to think again! :)
Thanks for adding my girls to your wonderful line-up.
Have a beautiful day.
Sincerely,
Melinda

ReplyDeleteI love dress forms too. Gee TOT must have hit the jack pot!!! I redid one of mine and just put millinery hats on my others. They are really fun to have around. You will have so much fun changing yours up to make it your own:)

Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI have a vintage dress form in my Studio. I named her Lizzie...short for Elizabeth! She dons my crocheted peach Spring top and gauze skirt. I've been thinking she needs a change...the photo of the black dress form is so very tempting...but probably won't happen. Thanks for sharing all these unique antique "ladies"!
Fondly,
Pat
Oh- I think I am in love with Melanie...if you can love a mannequin! What great examples you found, Sandi! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteMine looks like yours!! I do need to dress her up and giver her a name. You have inpsired me today!

Hi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteOh I do love vintage dress forms!!! But I can't seem to convince my hubby to have one in the house...actually, I'm kinda outnumbered with the boys, 3 to 1! lol Maybe I will "sneak" one in! lol Love those inspiration images too!!! Have a great week!
XOXO's,
Jessie

ReplyDeleteThese are all great, Sandi! Following on Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteThese are very cool! Don't you just love pinterest? I'd love a neat mannequin but don't know where I'd put it...:)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful and WOW on Melanie! So many fun things to chose from and dress them up.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these.
xoxo
The girls are looking good, and I love how personalized they are! I'm sure your makeover will be just what your girl needs.
ReplyDeleteWish I could adorn our home with one, but we're tight on space and my husband wouldn't give this girl an appreciative welcome. :)
I'll have to check out your mannequin board! How cute all the names are:) I'm weird because I have no desire for one...I did copy the miniature dress form you decoupaged a while back and that's mannequin enough for me:)
ReplyDeleteDressing her up for different holidays would be so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the curly paper skirt and pearls..sweet. Funny how many of those things are out there. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is TOTS GIRLS!! Love them and would love to find one!
ReplyDeleteI have one exactly like the teal one at the end of your post, but it is light pink. It is the only one I have and I would LOVE a older , shabbier one. hee hee :)
Blessings~
I'd love one of these too! Melanie is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your "gal", Sandi. I'm sure she will be beautiful.
