enchanted village...

Jim and I had a date the other night and he took me to see The Enchanted Village.
It was a wonderful collection of holiday scenes from the 1960s fully decorated with vintage pieces and even some beautiful antiques. Included in each scene were sweet old fashioned animated figures.

I didn't bring my camera but found these photos on Google to share with you...

It really was very sweet!
Every so often "White Christmas" would play and faux snow would fly!

We went for a quiet Italian dinner for two after.
It was a perfect evening ~ thank you Jim!

For a little history about The Enchanted Village go here.
Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Looks like a lot of fun. We had a place kind of like that when we lived in Texas. The local university had all these outdoor buildings that were all animated for Christmas. The kids and I loved it.

    Merry Christmas to you,

  10. You were just too busy having fun to worry about photos...and that's OK! When a man goes to that much attention to planning an evening, he deserves your undivided attention.
Merry Christmas girly. Here's wishing for merry and bright!

  17. What do you mean you didn't take your camera? First rule of blogging, always have camera at the ready. Ha! It looks like an absolutely delightful evening. I remember family vacations when I was little and going to certain places where there were animated figures in old houses or museum settings -- I always loved seeing them and what life was like long ago. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas. Happy Holidays! Tammy
